The owner of this place is so rude has no consideration for poor people
I recently visited this ice cream shop hoping to support a small business after their recent and unfortunate robbery. I had mixed experiences. On the positive side, the ice cream flavors were exceptional! The Biscoff, cookies and cream, snickerdoodle, and ice cream taco were all outstanding—definitely a 10/10 for the quality and taste!
However, the staff left much to be desired. It was evident that the young employees would rather be anywhere else than working there. One staff member struggled to provide basic product knowledge, mistakenly claiming the prices were on the cups, only to realize they weren’t when shown. Customer service was lacking, with no recommendations offered, reflecting a lack of training.
The overall atmosphere of the shop needs improvement. The front area was cluttered with equipment where customers order, and the menu board was on the ground partially blocking the walk way. It felt unclean, with visible dust, contributing to a general impression of neglect. The back seating area was chaotic, filled with kids running wild and a general lack of upkeep—the stuffed animals and couches were in poor condition.
While I was happy to support an LGBT business and enjoyed the ice cream immensely, the overall experience was disappointing. With better training and a more welcoming environment, this place could truly thrive. For now, I enjoyed the ice cream but wouldn't recommend staying to enjoy the atmosphere. It had the feel of a garage sale gone wrong—lots of potential, but it just didn’t hit the mark.
Extremely friendly staff! The owner was very nice & makes all of the ice cream right in the shop! The ice cream was super delicious & fresh. I couldn’t tell that the ice cream was lactose free! Highly recommend this place :)
Great place with non dairy products that taste amazing! Love the lounge area, great place to hang with friends.
Really good homemade ice cream but kind of pricey
By far my favorite ice cream shop in midtown. The staff members are always so nice and the ice cream flavors are always delicious!! It’s hard to pick one favorite flavor, but have no fear, they’ll let you try as many as you’d like. My go to is dank chocolate and sweet cream mixed. Yummy!!!! 🤤
I Love This place
Found this place of tik tok! Awesome spot! Delicious ice cream and cool vibe in the backroom !! Definitely recommend!
LIX Uptown Ice Cream is a fantastic spot for a sweet treat! Their unique flavors are creamy, rich, and made with quality ingredients. The staff is super friendly, and the vibe is cool and inviting. Definitely a go-to for artisan ice cream lovers in the area. Highly recommended!
FINALLY a lactose free ice cream spot. Judy is great and so is the ice cream. Highly recommend.

Will never come here. Staff was super rude for no reason. Sad to find an lgbtq+ place to support only to be met with a hole cashiers. The one who served us ice cream was quiet and okay, it was the short brown haired one who was unreasonably rude. Would rather go to another place. Find better staff.
My fam bam treated me with dessert at this spot and was very nice. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star was because was really craving a milkshake but were out of supplies on mother's day. We all did try the ice cream and it was very yummy plus the ambiance was excellent including some of video games like street fighter and pacman. They did also have roses to give out to all the mom's and I was gifted one that day. Happy momma and most important boys had a good time.
Make sure to get there early if you want the biscoff option. This is the best Icecream in the valley and doesn’t upset the stomach!
Friendly staff and awesome lounge area.
We usually go to an ice cream place on 7th St but thought we'd try something different today. I was kind of disappointed only because I feel if you're a small owner/operator business that good customer service should be important. Be friendly, welcome people in, thank them for coming in and purchasing your product. I choose to avoid large franchises and choose the small businesses because I have a small business, but I don't have to.
I'm not sure if the young lady behind the counter was just having a bad day but she seemed annoyed that me and my family had stopped by. But there's a sign in the window about smiling and making someone's day.
There isn't a large variety of ice cream flavors, but they are unique. There was a mango flavor, a PB&J, Biscoff cookie flavor with the actual cookies mixed in, there was the usual cookies and cream too. Some flavors they were out of like the snickerdoodle. I had a flavor that had a chocolate drizzle onto with some cherry stuff on, it was tasty.
Small, cozy, and trendy. Not super friendly though. No welcome and no thank you. I guess that's acceptable these days.
Ice cream selection was small but very good.
