This isn't a review, rather a rebuke.
I was in Lola Coffee to purchase packaged whole bean coffee. I purchased 2 (two) bags of beans in gold bags at the price of $32.72. I looked at the very nice person assisting me, 'there's tax on coffee beans?' 'there sure are!'
I didn't argue because I know that laws change and I might not be up to date. Coffee beans are a grocery, I didn't get coffee brewed, very taxable, I got sealed beans in a bag. When I got to my car and looked it up, I had only been %99.9 sure.

The coffee was delicious! Good selection of pastries if you come early. Friendly service. Plenty of parking.

Best place ever. Strongest coffee, best breakfast burritos and bagel sandwiches. The pastries are also incredible. Great place to study or work too.

We kicked off our Phoenix Coffee Passport at Lola Coffee on 40th & Indian School, and it was such a pleasant surprise. It has that classic coffeehouse vibe—quiet, cozy, and great for studying or getting a little work done. The staff was super friendly and genuinely personable, which made the whole visit even better. I ordered a decaf mocha with coconut milk that was smooth, balanced and not too sweet and my husband stuck with his go-todrip and really liked it. Simple, good coffee and warm people. We’d both come back for sure.

This little neighborhood coffee shop doesn't need any frills to keep their regulars coming back. Friendly baristas, welcoming environment and good coffee.

The best coffee, hands down—always fresh and never burnt. Great food, consistently fresh. Friendly, genuine staff who are considerate of your needs. I’ve literally never felt more welcome and appreciated at a coffee shop.

I didn't expect a burrito to taste so good outside of Texas, much less a coffee shop. The iced amaricano was great too! Service was first class. Highly recommended.
