New favorite spot to catch up with my bestie.
I’ll have to try the food next time. The coffee was up to par with most coffee shops.
Not local but i’m a frequent visitor to the Phoenix area. found this place after a round of golf in the morning and absolutely fell in love. the staff was super friendly and went over the menu and gave a little history about the place. i tried their She Loves Me Not latte and it was chefs kiss, absolutely delicious.
it’s coffee shop meets dive bar which is genius. has cozy, eclectic decor that makes you feel right at home. this has become my go-to stop whenever im in phoenix. i’ve only ever been in the morning but the staff said they host trivia nights and little events which is cute. definitely a must try whether your local or just visiting!!
This is the coolest little spot in Arizona. I've been to a lot of places trying to do this, and this is the only spot that can make amazing coffee and incredible drinks. I love their little bar. I love the environment. The baristas have so much skill and don't even realize it. The menu telling the story really makes it. Such a unique little place. I hope they never change <3
Coffee was okay but I waited over 20 minutes for one drink and wasn’t even offered a refund.
Great customer service!!!
Got the breakfast sandwiches with focaccia and some iced coffees. Everything was great wish we where here longer so I could get a beer here
I’ve only come here to read and journal but I liked the vibe, plenty of seating. I like the eclectic choice of chairs and couches and the drinks look good. Plus there is a pool table in the back and that’s fun.
Cozy place, very low key vibe.
Great menu selection on drinks and coffee.
I come by for some coffee and see the entrance on Thomas is blocked, but there are cars in the lot. No sign I can see from the street at night. I try the entrance on 15th Ave and realize I’m in the middle of a car show. Oh. So I try to leave to park elsewhere and walk in. I’ve got people staring at me and flashing pen lights at me as I’m trying to think of how to leave. As I’m trying to make my way carefully back out, I’ve got people laughing at me and motioning that they’re going to key my car. What? No. Never coming back.
Owner’s reply:
So let me get this straight you saw a blocked off main entrance to a restaurant with an event going on (a car meet and art show) in the parking lot so you decided to come around the back ignoring the cones (which you ran over lol) then proceeded to drive right into the middle of a crowded event. At this point you obviously made a mistake (no biggie) a couple guys tried to help guide you out of an awkward situation. We can't help if people laughed,it was very nerve racking watching you almost back into a $100k imported GTR. With another full on tracked out M3 (probably just as expensive) car in front of you scared for its life. If anyone pointed a laser at you I'm sure it may have been to try and get your attention to stop. But I'm still sorry about it. I'm also sorry that we put on a free event for the community and our reward is a 1 star review that will negatively impact us forever.
Edit: Yes, I saw a blocked entrance, but had no idea there was an event. I thought there was some sort of construction going on as there’s no sign for an event. You state I ran over cones. I doubt you can even tell me what car I drive. I never nearly backed into anyone, I actually nosed into a space to reverse towards the building. I motioned to let a man pass behind me before moving again. No one approached me to help me, just laugh. I assume you were one of them? I have front and rear dash cams if you’d like to keep lying about the experience. I’ve read some of your replies to one star reviews. Guilting people for having a bad experience at your establishment when your horrific attitude appears to gather a customer base more willing to laugh at me than help.
Owner’s updated reply:
Sorry but anyone with front and rear cameras recording on their car is definitely a red flag to me and for sure the same type of person to leave a one star review on a coffee shop because they can't drive lol
Edit:
Recording incidents to protect the rights of myself and others is a red flag to a man that lies.
Luana’s is by far one of the coolest coffee shops I’ve ever been to! From the first day I stepped foot into this place, I felt like I was walking into a home away from home. They have the coziest furniture that makes you want to stay for hours. The barista’s have always been so welcoming which has played a big part in making every experience at Luana’s a 10/10. Not to mention their breakfast pizza is a 100/10. They have such unique specialty coffees and their matcha is one of the best I’ve had yet. Anyone would regret not stepping foot at least once in such a lovely place!

After going to dozens of coffee shops, spending time and reviewing them, I believe Launa's is the single best coffee shop in Phoenix. For three reasons:
- The coffee and food are all very good. The raspberry mocha is my personal favorite. If you are a coffee snob, it may not be the absolute best, but to me it is wonderful. There is a variety of baked goods, savory dishes, and drinks.
- The service. None of the baristas, bartenders, waiters or owners have ever been rude to me. I have never had to wait an extended period of time for anything, and have always been attended to.
- The atmosphere. The single best detail of this location and the most important aspect of any coffee shop. Launa's combines lounging and conversational spaces with tables for work. Walls divide the coffee shop to make a larger space which feels like a hidden nook and a welcoming space at the same time. The decoration is on point, and I would not be surprised that several interior designers were consulted on every aspect of this place.
In conclusion, whether it is Thursday night trivia, morning work, or a conversation with friends, Luanas is THE place.

Both the vibe and food here are amazing. The menu features creatively named dishes with excellent taste. I had the “Damn. I’m so happy you did” sandwich and it was very filling. The Hawaiian Mac Salad was quite the surprise but it complimented the sandwich well. The restaurant also features tv screens showing classing movies as you enjoy your meal. This is definitely a place to go back to so you can complete work in peace.

I’ve been a regular for years now but recently just tried their espresso martini and it was lovely. My usual is an iced campfire s’mores and it never fails. The service, atmosphere and cozy seating is what keeps me coming back. Their hot honey pizza is also to die for.
