Came here to kick off the girl scout season with a handful of 8 year olds. The parking here alone is terrible. One of the two reserved parking lots is next to a planter so if you don't have a small vehicle, it's pointless. The gal working did not appear to like her job. She was very short with the kids and after serving them ice cream was lecturing the moms about the kids being too loud. We understood the establishment was not a playground, but serving kids sugar and expecting them to sit calmly.. wasn't possible. Ice cream was good but other than knowing how old this business is, there was nothing extra special about it. We love ice cream and glad we got to visit. But I have no interest in returning. Maybe moving this to a better location would change my mind. The gal running the place needs to go. Worst customer service and hate to have her be the face of the store. I always try to be considerate of my negative reviews. This place wasn't terrible, it just wasn't anything special.

Was great to eat here again. Loved their ice cream for 45 years now. Thanks Mattie.

We were recommended to go here by a local waitress. It was literally the WORST ICE CREAM EVER. When you order a classic banana split with 3 scoops , vanilla, chocolate and strawberry you actually expect it to taste like ice cream. We could not believe what it tasted like. The strawberries were coagulated, the crushed pineapple was canned. Whipped cream was flavorless. Hardly any chocolate fudge or syrupI cannot explain the terrible taste of the chocolate ice cream. Grainy , flat and didn’t taste anything like chocolateWe literally left the entire banana split at the table and walked out. Don’t waste your time or moneyIt’s offensive your taste palette!

I really don't like to bad mouth businesses, but I had to write this.Worst Experience. We stopped in on Sunday, the day before Labor Day, around 5 pm. There were people in there, but not too crowded. It took about 20-25 min to receive our order ( 3 of us ). I asked for the bathroom and even looked for it, but no where to be found. The place was warm - no AC. Had to ask for water 3 times, and it was warm tap water. They didn't have the flavor I wanted. The milk shake I ordered finally came after my wife and son were finished with their ice cream. So we left - and I'm not kidding, it took 30 min before I could even drink it. It was so thick - like soft serve ice cream - with a straw that was so thin it hurt your lips to get anything out. The kids working there should be properly trained. Awful experience. Was hoping for a nice old fashion ice cream parlor - was hoping for maybe even Mary Coyle.I dunno - so disappointing. Be aware.

Not the Mary Coyle, that I remember from past years. They did not have some of the items for their ice cream's, but still very very good.

This was my first visit to this quaint little ice cream parlor and I'll be back. The employee was friendly and helpful, the selection was large, the ice cream was delicious and, though sweet, I didn't have the usual blood sugar crash an hojr later. So, it's a place I'd like to bring a friend, next time. Enjoy!

Very mediocre service and out of absolutely everything. We kept coming back to this place after the original closed (the one on 7th Ave, not 7th street, that one was a joke as well) in hopes of it turning somewhat to what it used to be. But this place just keeps going down hill. We were there this weekend, and that will be the last. ?

Pink paint, a Mary Coyle's doth not make. What a sad copy of an old classic. The place is missing all the charm of the old place. Was out of bananas, whip cream, cookies and cream ice cream.

Friendly service, wider variety of ice cream, and a relaxing place to enjoy.10/10 would recommend.

Nothing like the old location. Everything out of stock, soda machine broken, only had tap water to offer. Service was a little odd. Ice cream was decent, but nothing special like the old place.

I had a great chocolate milkshake from Mary Coyle’s. We were treated as if we were the only customers there.

The decor is lacking considering it location. I only came in for a shake. It was good. I would come back again. Just don't want to hang out here at all js. This could be a cool spot if they added a theme or something. You're located next to Lenny's burgers.

Cute little shop with limited parking in back. The ice cream is just ok though, and it's over priced. There's other ice cream shops nearby with better ice cream in my opinion, like Churn. The single scoop in a cup my mom got was tiny.

I really wanted to like this newest incarnation of Mary Coyle. I still remember the first time my mom took us to the original Mary Coyle across from Phoenix College back in the late sixties. We followed the restaurant when it moved to 7th & Missouri and later to 7th Street near Bethany. But each move (and now each new owner) has diluted the experience. The ONLY reason to go to Mary Coyle is to enjoy that old time feeling of a soda fountain: the ambiance, the fancy serving dishes, etc. Be honest: the ice cream here was never the best. This hole in the wall shop has limited seating. It has counter service (which isn't that bad). But gone are the pretty dishes. The ice cream was rather disappointing. We won't go back.
