The food quality and taste was no where near matching the price. They do “service by committee” so you go up to 20 minutes without seeing a server, no refills, no sides if you want, which was the most frustrating part. Very unlikely to return, or recommend to anyone.

We first saw this downtown Phoenix breakfast spot on YouTube when it was a tiny location — and now it’s fully expanded and remodeled. The space is beautiful with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We went on a Monday morning and it was still busy, but not so packed that we couldn’t sit and enjoy our meal.
Everything we ordered was so good. The homemade lemonade honey drink? Unreal. I had the Big Papa Burrito stuffed with chorizo, potatoes, egg, and cheese in a fresh flour tortilla made right here in Phoenix — flavorful, filling, and worth every bite.
Bonus points for carrying Arizona-based Gunslinger hot sauce, but their house-made hot sauce was my favorite. And the pancakes were fluffy and delicious.
Great food, great energy, and reasonably priced. A solid downtown Phoenix breakfast spot. 🔥

The service at Matt's was great. They constantly walk around to check on you and refill your coffee. The portions are huge. My only complaint was the lemons were kind of mushy for my Iced tea other than that the food was delicious and I'm glad they have healthy options.

In new lovely location right next door to old restaurant with variety of seating options…. wonderful menu with good food and great service. Eggs were cooked a little hard, but chicken sausage was tasty and hash browns delicious. Seasoned well and crispy. Will definitely return when in Phoenix.

Don’t bother with the “steel cut” oats. Plain rolled and looks like cafeteria oatmeal. My friends food was very “meh”, she said. Bummer- I used to love it here!
