Best fries in town and small town vibes, we love matty gs, and we go as often as possible
Kept passing by this place and finally tried it out.The decor was awesome, with a lot of baseball memorabilia. Service was great, the woman working was really nice.I got the Redman that had lobster, crab and shrimp with sriracha aioli and it was fresh tasting and filling. Fry sauce was super tasty with the garlic fries. We got the fried jalapeños too, they were slightly lacking in flavor. Aside from that, the atmosphere and food were fantastic.
Nice lil gem founded spare of the moment. Thanks to my son. Came to visit him in PHX and he found this place. We came at the perfect time 4pm on a Wednesday. Had entire place to ourselves, but wasn't for long as people started rolling in.Parking... Parking in front and plenty of parking in the back.Seating... Plenty of tables inside and outside. Nice gigantic chair for photo ops. No booths.Menu... Amazing options. Huge hamburger selection, hotdogs, tacos, lobster rolls, salads, and wraps and desserts.Staff/Environment... Love it!! The decor is very cool. Baseball themed. Staff was super friendly, kind, helpful, all smiles and laughs. Even after I bumped table spilling my root beer(no lid) making huge mess.Food... Tasted wonderful. Loved the 'Da Bears' dog and Carne Asada tacos. My son had the fried pickles and chili fries. Great flavor.Definitely will be coming back here again.Love to y'all. Thankful ya'll for the experience.
Have wanted to try for 2 years--finally got there as our first choice had some mustache event going on..... Ordered an Irish burger and a 'lobsta' roll, with a side of fries to go. Ambiance is not what this place offers inside, but patio is nice and appeared dog-friendly. Irish burger was amazing--lobsta roll not so much. Have had better fake lobster from Basha's. Would visit again--lots of burger options and pretty tasty!
I have passed by this place countless times. I think it is the only restaurant in the Uptown district where I don't have a service contract.I must say, I was impressed. Believe me, when is comes to food, impressing me is a difficult task. I spend almost every day in high-end restaurants that employ some of the finest chefs in the US.This alone does not qualify me to be a judge of food. But the fact that I eat like a pig, all day, does.If you are in to atmosphere and ambiance, this is not your place. If you are a true eater and want something new and awesome, I highly recommend that you give this place a try.The picture is not from a publication. It is what I ordered and is what was brought to my table.
Update: maybe there's a new cook or the quality has been downgraded but the burger I had today was way over cooked and dried out. The employee working the till came by the table and asked how everything was, I let him know that my hamburger was over cooked and dry as jerky, even crispy crunchy edges. He said "I'll let the cook know". Last visit from me. I thought McDonald's had the thinnest patties, but they can be found hereI had the Photo Finish burger, it was great. Staff was pleasant and the restaurant was clean.
Having seen comments on pricing going both ways, I will start by saying everything in my picture cost $21.45.However, this review is purely on quality of food and service. Having been there a few times, I can say that it's always fresh, consistently good, and well prepared. You will probably be full, even if you just get a double burger.I haven't had any of their rolls, but I have heard good things from friends. :)
Best fries I've ever had. They're crispy and battered and delicious. The red card burger was so tasty! My mom had a hot dog and said it was wonderful. It is beyond a regular hot dog. Only complaint is the cost. We got a hamburger, a hot dog, 1 order of fries and 2 drinks and it came up to $44. Definitely will be back
Great vibe and delicious food. Lots of sports memorabilia and TVs for games. Ordered 3 burgers with 2 lobster rolls and they were ready very quickly. Regular fries were seasoned perfectly. Definitely going back to try more items.
We went for the lobster rolls and were not disappointed. I tried the 4 different aioli sauces, and the saracha was the best. Garlic fries with the fry sauce is worth trying.

This was a nice place with a good look to it. Tried the lobster roll with sweet potatoes fries. I wasn't impressed. The fries came with marshmallow cream in a small cup which is meant as a dip but you can't really dip your fries in that easily. The lobster roll Red Legs had two scoops of what looked like imitation crab and real shrimp on it. Taste was okay, but to buy a lobster roll with imitation crab and then have to buy fries and a drink for nearly $20 I would have expected real lobster. Some of the pictures showed this same sandwich with 4 shrimp. My buddy and I only got 2 shrimp. Should have taken a picture. Over priced for the food, but service and variety were great.
I had an excellent fried chicken sandwich here. The chicken was so delicious…tender, juicy, easy to bite through…so good. The bun was warm and delicious too. The fired pickles are quartered pickle spears and I really liked them. There is a large menu of burgers and chicken sandwiches to choose from and the lobster rolls look so good. It will take a few visits to work my way through this menu. The prices are fair for the quality and taste.
Love the steakburgers. Absolutely delicious and very affordable. If you haven't been here, it is a must try and definitely one of the best burgers you'll get in The Valley.
Casual atmosphere and really good food... especially the wide variety of steak burgers ? ?? Also had the perfectly cooked sweet potato fries ? Amazing!
All right everybody I'm going to give it to you straight. The decor is great The people are nice The burgers are tasty and juicy and well done The lobster sandwich thing is a total joke. I specifically asked them "where is the lobster?". Their response, It's mixed in to the sauce of the crab with the mayo. So there is no real lobster on the sandwich. Whether it's lobster juice or little bits of lobster it's all mixed into the crab. I like this place but it's unlikely I will return. I don't like false advertising. It's a major turnoff.
