Awesome to see all the new things coming together here. Love the ongoing updates to the menu and restaurant space itself. So rare to find food prepared and shared with so much soul, passion and love.
If you get a chance, be sure to sample the best breakfast tacos in the Valley. Kristen’s scratch-made flour tortillas are amazing, and all ingredients are super-fresh and tasty.
Look forward to following the growth and evolution of this great menu, space and team.
There were 10 people in the restaurant and we waited one hour and 10 minutes to get served. There is no reason why a restaurant should be this slow on a holiday.
$70 for burnt bacon not one apology or acknowledgement of service
We have really enjoyed the new owners and menu changes!
This morning we showed up at 9 and the owner popped his head out and said he would be opening at 10, so we drove around considering other spots and ended up just waiting until 10 to return.
They are in the midst of some renovations, so the hours may vary.
The owner/chef was working solo and taking orders, cooking the food, and still finding time to smile and welcome each person as if they were a long lost friend.
Service might be more than understandably a little slow, but it’s worth the wait.
This is the neighborhood place to go if you want to feel welcome and have food that is worth paying for.
Melrose Kitchen is a hidden gem! I had the best BLT I’ve ever tasted—perfectly tender pork belly, fresh lettuce and tomato, and a soft toasted bread that hit the spot. The service was just as impressive—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s such a good feeling to enjoy an amazing meal and also feel appreciated as a guest. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
Best Ruben i ever had. And the hash. Omlete fluffy and delightful, hash browns were perfect.
Such an amazing place, amazing food, amazing service, great place for a little family
Definitely miss the old menu, but the vibes are still immaculate and the coffee is still hot.
Melrose Kitchen was a middling experience. I ordered the chicken in waffles, but the dish lacked flavor—the chicken was underseasoned and didn’t stand out. The waffle and syrup were decent, but nothing memorable. Considering this is one of their signature dishes and comes with a higher price tag, I expected more. The interior and service were both standard, nothing particularly noteworthy.
Wow, you have to try the chicken and waffle. The awesome crust on the chicken is out of this world.
Phenomenal service, great environment. Will definitely come back.
The food and service here were like eating brunch made by someone that loves you. Our server Amber was attentive, quick, and sweet— we never had to ask for anything, she anticipated all of our needs and that of the entire restaurant. Our food came out fresh and hot and it tasted even better than it sounded on the menu. It smelled amazing and the flavor combos were pitch perfect. We got the Chick “In” Waffle and the Pork Belly BLT sandwich and both were fantastic and crispy. Any sogginess was perfectly balanced out. Waffle was the best we’ve ever had- crispy outside and melt-in-your-mouth inside and sweet but not sickly sweet. The battered chicken was savory enough to complement the rest of it. The bread of my pork belly sandwich was so flaky and delicious, pork belly was perfectly seared, and the veggies were fresh. I hate pickles but kept them in and didn’t even notice them because the flavor was so balanced! Fries were average but seasoned which was nice. We eat at a lot of breakfast places but I think we just found our new favorite! Loved it so much had to leave a review as soon as we left.

I ordered breakfast here yesterday and it was amazing! Best hash browns I’ve had, the pancakes reminded me of home, and my fiancé loved his sandwich. Owner was incredibly kind. We will absolutely be back!

Harmon is the current owner and chef and I have to say, he makes the BEST food this restaurant has ever made. Melrose Kitchen has been thru so many owners and the food and service was always good but this is on another level. The food is super fresh and he sources from local places as much as he can which is awesome. It isn't just your regular breakfast/lunch fare--it's pretty gourmet actually. I had the pork belly blt and the pork literally melts in your mouth. It's to DIE for! I have been thinking about it ever since I had it. LOL
You can tell he cares about what he does. He said the restaurant is going to be getting a make over and the newest menu has so much yummy stuff that I can't wait to try. I also found out they're going to be open late nights (drunken munchie hours 🤣) on weekends soon and they're already open from 10p-2a on First Fridays. I'm super excited to come back and try everything. Highly, highly recommend 10000/10
