Stopped in for a small bite. Opted for deviled eggs. No real flavor. Can’t speak to the rest of the menu. However, service was fast and friendly!

I dined at the Meritage with my family on a Saturday at 4pm. There was only one other couple in there at the time we were seated, not busy at all. We ordered the Deviled Eggs for an appetizer and they were extremely bland, definitely not worth the price. Not to mention, the appetizer took almost 30 minutes to come out. I also ordered a cheeseburger from the children's menu at the same time, so perhaps that's what took so long for the appetizer to arrive, but I never assumed a child's cheeseburger would take more than 10/15 minutes, especially with an empty restaurant. The cheeseburger was cold and the fries were so hard that my children couldn't even eat them- a complete waste of $18. My husband ordered the filet, average at best, and again, overpriced. The filet has no flavor, even with the mushrooms on top. I ordered the pasta, which had a kick to it that wasn't mentioned in the description. Needless to say, I didn't eat much. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but when the bill is over $200 and the food is below average, I don't want others to overpay like we did. I don't ever see myself or family eating at The Meritage again.
Very much below expectations. Food was average (think Applebees but 2x the price), service was ok, restaurant had multiple issues. Order pizza to your room, skip this place.
First, our party was placed in the corner where it was very dark. We asked multiple times for the lights to be adjusted but they must have things set up where they can’t adjust lights over the dark tables. That’s fine but they’ve said others have complained in the past, SO FIX THE PROBLEM. It’s so dark you can’t see. The brought candles, we stole candles from other tables. This was the hotels busiest weekend of the year, the restaurant was only 40% occupied, we should have moved ourselves, but they should have offered to move us.
Second, the waiter had lots of issues with wine, questions, asking bar, etc. and then attempts to open bottle and destroys the cork (BECAUSE SHE SAID SHE CANT SEE). Duh!
So now there’s cork in the wine, we’re all in the dark and there’s no service to be found.
The food wasn’t great, no need to go into that.
The waitress asked if everything was ok at the end, I basically said it was fine, but we’d never come back. At that point she stood in front of me in my face and asked what she should do about it. Nice. At no point did a manager visit us.

We loved our dinner! Everything was fantastic! The service was on point. The special drink was so tasty. I totally recommend this restaurant.
We enjoyed our lunch at the Meritage immensely—the food was excellent, with unique flavors. The service was outstanding; our server was very helpful and spot-on with her recommendations. The entire staff was attentive without being intrusive, which made for a welcoming experience. This was a business lunch, and while we both enjoyed the food, the noise level made it a bit challenging to hear each other. Between the TVs and overall volume of the restaurant, conversation was difficult at times.
Everything was perfectly done & it was quiet for the first half of dinner but got a little busier & louder (which is understandable, more people = more noise). The manager was amazing & helped us celebrate our engagement with a couple cocktails on the house. I highly recommend this place!
From the start the primary server was unaccomodating and seemed intent on rushing us through our meal. Less than 30 minutes into dinner, she repeatedly returned to our table to ask if we were done eating or needed to go boxes. The second server followed suit, approaching several times to clear plates before we had finished. We probably said the words, "we are still eating" about fives separate times! We felt rushed and unwelcomed. Poor services and lack of proper training by the staff. Reflects poorly on the hotel.
We had a wonderful experience celebrating two birthdays with two families for a joint dinner at Meritage. The food was delicious, the desert amazing. Everything is made in-house and from scratch. We all loved our food and our server was geat.
We were really disappointed with our experience. We came in expecting the quality of a nice resort restaurant, but everything felt mediocre at best. Quickly finding that the menu online did not match what they were serving.
The food was overly oily, and we had issues with consistency and communication. We specifically asked if the fries were tossed in anything and were told they were plain. When they arrived, they were clearly coated in something. Upon asking, one staff member said they were tossed in olive oil. When we requested a remake due to how soaked they were, they came back out with a different waitress saying, “All better—no garlic butter this time.” So we were given three different answers about the same side dish, which didn’t inspire confidence.
The salad was overdressed and oddly portioned—just a few arugula leaves piled on top of mostly tomatoes and pickled onions. I will say the steak was the one redeeming part of the meal—it was cooked well and tasted good.
Unfortunately, we also ordered the fish and chips sub tots, and like everything else, it was greasy and underwhelming.
No desserts stood out, and honestly, between the uncomfortably hot dining room and the less-than-friendly staff, we were just ready to leave.
To top it all off, our server couldn’t even answer questions about parking validation, which left us unsure if we were about to get stuck paying out of pocket for that too.

Matt and his staff was superb. The food was awesome. The calamari which was just recently added was over the top.

We had a seven o'clock reservation before 9pm fireworks. We barely made it to fireworks because the service was so incredibly slow. At 8:15 we asked if our food would be out and we would be done before fireworks, and the waiter said, “well your food's been ready for a while we're just waiting to plate it.” This tracks as every dish was cold. Cold, mushy fries, lukewarm entrees, salmon. So, so disappointing. What should have been a nice night was stressful wondering if we would get out of there on time, and then the food was barely edible, and we had to rush to choke it down. I get that it was busy for fourth, but you should be expecting that.
The baby rack ribs were amazing and SO much food (my sister said best ribs she's ever had)! I had rigatoni with meatballs- huge portion and very good. The best of the night was the smores dessert. Not as rich as I thought it might be, perfect portion for two. VERY YUMMY! Our server was very nice, but service was somewhat slow, not sure if because of July 3 celebration at the hotel or not.
The staff was amazing. The chef was very accommodating with my wife's allergies. Food was amazing. We will be back!!
We had a great experience at Meritage! Alex, our server was very informative about the food options. He was attentive & quick to get us everything we asked for. The food was delicious as well. I got the steak frites & just suggest getting it cooked medium if you like medium rare. Alex took care of things by putting it back on the grill for a minute or so! Overall, we really liked this place!
