Wait staff was friendly. Drinks were very slow to arrive despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Food was slow to arrive and mediocre. The pork secreto was extremely tough and not flavorful with nothing on the plate but the meat. It was honestly barely edible. My wife's short rib was okay. The salmon was okay as well. I would not come back. Place feels like it needs a major infusion of energy and better food.

The service was excellent. The non alcoholic beverage was at point. Food was average. The outdoor seating was very nice and relaxing. It was our first time at this restaurant so overall it was great.

Our server Travis was excellent. My husband loved his pork entree and said it was perfect. I didn't like the spinach salad, unfortunately...it has tons of cheese on it. The atmosphere is relaxed, with most of the other groups looking like they came right after a golf game.

Hello,I went to restaurant yesterday and was greeted by hostess Olga, the restaurant was very busy and Olga took time to attend me and made sure I was comfortable and even offered me water while I was waiting for my to go order. Olga you are amazing!

Our waiter was working hard but spread entirely too thin. He disappeared for long periods of time and then would come out carrying trays of food. I wondered if he was helping in the kitchen. Overall a disappointing experience.

Wanted something easy that was connected to the hotel. Food was not fresh, very salty and very expensive. I would stick to burgers, wings and basic bar fare at this establishment. We diverged from that approach and left feeling overcharged and underwhelmed.

This was not our first time at Meritsge. We usually like going there. The menu has gotten smaller and everything is ala carte. There was not enough wait staff to meet the needs of the customers. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. Our server was working as fast as he could. Not his fault, but not acceptable either.

Excellent meal and service in a pub setting. Our party of 4 had entrees of braised short ribs and iberico pork secreto (seared with chimichiri sauce), and sides of brussel sprouts and carrot. All first rate. Decent and varied wine selection. Reasonably priced food and wine for a hotel venue. A little on the noisy side, but not so much as to interfere with conversation. Attractive outside seating available; we ate indoors because the evening was cool.

Nice ambiance, good food. Wait staff at dinner was disappointing. Seemed as though there were two few servers and the runners brought wrong orders and didn't know who was getting what. Also, the wait staff needed to be reminded on certain things. service needs improvement.

We are a local family that frequents theJW and their restaurants. It's been a few years, since we tried Meritage, and this will be our last . If you eat indoors is extremely loud, had to lean in to the table to hear the people talk across the table. Obviously, this is not the restaurants fault, but just know what you're getting yourself into if you sit indoors. Our food did not come out until an hour and seven minutes after we ordered, an hour and twenty seven minutes after arrival-mind you this is a Tuesday night 7:00 PM so it wasn't because it was overly busy at this restaurant . Our waiter did not let us know about the delay until a few minutes before our food finally did come out. Never really checked on us or acknowledged earlier that this was going to be a longer delay on food —-that should've been handled from the manager himself from the very get-go -anything over a half hour a manager should've checked in with us and said what can we do to make this expedited and comfortable for you. By the time somebody did come out, they offered us draft beers. Which no one wanted... we were hungry. Not thirsty. Drinking beer like that on an empty stomach kind of feels miserable. The manager should've simply taken off our drinks that we currently purchased or offered to remove our salads. My food finally did come out and the kitchen got my food incorrect, they asked to remake it and I was like—- this took over an hour to get so no thank you. We honestly wanted to eat and go home. They took my meal off because it was almost inedible and the wait was unacceptable. Sidenote, do not order the broccolini. It's covered in sauce -takes any health benefit away from it -and it's extremely spicy. Nothing yummy or fresh about this dish. If you're a local, do not waste your time. There's so many good restaurants in the valley and locally that have great service and amazing food. The positive, the short rib that somebody ordered at our table was great.

Had one of my worse meals ever here. The soup was super salty, the replacement was somewhat better, then they overcooked my steak and the replacement steak was super salty. The manager was good about the situation, but just not the kind of quality I would expect from a restaurant at a JW Marriott. I am so disappointed.

Decent menu with a wide variety of dishes on offer. Food was freshly cooked and tasty. Service was good. We were allowed to pick the table we wanted. The restaurant was not too busy and even though there were convention staff present, the noise levels were acceptable. Toilets were clean and tidy. Pricing was reasonable. All in all a pleasant evening in a good location.

Horribly managed restaurant. They had two servers on Valentine's Day and (it seemed like) one cook (didn't confirm this). We waited a ridiculous amount of time for every part of the meal, and managers did not help their buried staff. Food was inedible - vegetables came to the table charred completely black. Steaks were cold. Too many restaurants in the area to ever go back to this one.

Our experience was subpar for the price. My medium steak was overcooked, the Brussels sprouts were just ok. The guy that brought out our food kept reaching over my husband to give me my food instead of walking around the table to give it to me. For the high end prices we expected more, especially for Valentine's Day!! Even my rose had the thorns left on it!? the one plus was the waiter took my steak off of the bill which was a pleasant surprise..

Always one of our favorite places to dine when we're in Desert Ridge. We stay at the Marriott Vacation Club Canyon Villas and enjoy an easy walk to the JW Marriott for dinners.
