Our food was delicious and the service was so friendly. This is the type of restaurant you want to see succeed. My favorite so far is the 1/2 chicken with medium sauce. and The French fries are not to be missed!

We loved our meal here! The menu is super small but the chicken is out of this world. The staff were very friendly, the owner came around to each table to ask how everything was. I could eat here everyday.

Admittedly I’m a major food snob and this place is a legitimate 5/5 for those that aren’t going to whine about a $25 plate of food. As small of a menu as a menu can he but they do what they serve ideally.

Cute inside, friendly service, great food, a bit pricey. The chicken and fries are really really good! I hope they add a few more sides to their menu.
Kid-friendliness: The vibe inside is kid-friendly, it’s casual and clean. The chicken itself isn’t spicy, my kid loved the fries.

Loved everything about this place. The chicken was flavorful though-and-through as well as tender. It wasn't the least bit dry. The seasoning formed a nice flavorful bark on the skin. Do not discard it for "health" reasons, but revel in it. I had the dark meat quarter, so cannot comment on the breast meat. The salad was fresh and accompanied by orange segments, toasted corn nuts (cancha), goat cheese, pickled beets, watermelon radish. It came lightly but fully dressed with a sweet, tangy dressing that was accented by aji Amarillo for a touch of heat. The fries must have been double fried. The outside uniformly crispy with an airy center. The price is on the higher side, but the care that goes into each portion of this tightly focused menu makes it well worth your while. The location is small, clean and airy, with a tantalizing smell of smoke. I fully expect it to get much busier and they may need to expand to bigger digs. I only wish the had chicha morada as a beverage option!

The menu isn’t big, but damn is it good! Quarter or half chicken, fries, a sandwich, and a tasty market salad for vegetarians who wander in.
But they don’t need more. The Peruvian rotisserie chicken was juicy and delicious, with a nice crisp skin. The fries were crunchy and crisp on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. We demolished our lunches and headed home for a nap.
HIGHLY recommend you check out this place if you like chicken.
Vegetarian options: There is a market salad and the fries are vegetarian and not cooked in animal fat.

I knew I was in for a treat the minute I walked in and was immediately greeted with the scent of smoldering firewood and rich spices. From the minimally yet elegantly furnished dining area to the giant live fire Josper rotisserie that easily prices out on par with a brand new, fully equipped 3 series, Mister Pio let's guests know that the food here is serious business.
The menu is very simple; several different portion sizes of their freshly roasted and grilled Peruvian chicken, served with a mixed green salad and your choice of two sauces from the three available. Fries come in two sizes and are available as an add-on option, as are a selection of bottled beverages, including Mexican cane sugar Coke and Inca Kola, an interesting looking and tasty Peruvian cola. And that's it! Or at least, that's it for now. I've no doubt that as Mister Pio's popularity grows, it's menu will see some additions, but for right now it's goal is concentrated on offering a truly authentic Peruvian polleria experience and that's something it does VERY well.
I opted for the half-chicken size, a portion I knew was going to be too big for me to finish in one sitting, but I wanted to try both the white and dark meat. The chicken was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly with crisped skin and a succulent juiciness throughout. The flavor of the spice blend, along with the subtle notes of wood smoke worked wonderfully together, with neither component overpowering nor outshining the other. For the sauces, I chose the Aji Verde and the Aji Rocoto, their mild and hot options respectively. Both sauces paired well with the chicken, and the Aji Rocoto definitely had a nice kick to it. The salad was tossed with Aji Amarillo Ginger Vinaigrette, with the greens sourced from local Steadfast Farms in Mesa, and was a nice accompaniment to the richly flavored chicken. I paired the meal with the small order of fries, which was actually a pretty large portion. Mister Pio uses Kennebec potatoes for their fries, which are known, particularly in the culinary world, as being a superior potato for French fries. These were light and fluffy inside, with that satisfyingly crispy crunch on the outside, seasoned with sea salt. Perfection! Altogether, the meal clocked in at $34 before tax, and could have easily fed two people for lunch.
I'm very happy to have this spot in the neighborhood, and look forward to seeing Mister Pio become a local treasure. Speaking briefly with the owner and chef, it's clear that his commitment to sourcing the best, high-quality ingredients, with fresh and authentic preparation, is what drives him and his restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend stopping in and giving Mister Pio a try!

Delicious chicken. Best french fries I ever had. The Inca Kola is the Peruvian version of Coca Cola…must try.
A couple suggestions are to add lime to the salad, and install window curtains because the sun is bothersome if you sit by the window.
