Monroe’s is located downtown, near the stadium, and Bear a bunch of Marriott hotels. Parking is kind of difficult at times, but to be expected.
The staff was welcoming, helpful, friendly, and quick. Great experience.
The decor and vibe was fast casual. Nice place to look at the walls and figure out who the mug shot belongs to!
The food was all very good. I wouldn’t say it is the same as actual hot chicken in Nashville, but it had great flavor and was a treat to enjoy. The mild was spicy to me, so I can’t imagine what the top level would taste like.
Overall great spot that I would be happy to come back to any time I’m in phx.

Food is not for the weary. mild is hot. Medium is burning. and hot is scorching. The chicken is excellent. many variations on a fried chicken. I got the classic chicken sandwich, which comes with pickles and.cole slaw, with medium heat. cleared my sinuses. oni9n rings were good. my colleagues got variations. one got the ultimate w Mac and cheese on the chicken. One got the classic with cheese sauce and a fried egg. they also have a soda for rain of unique local (?) sodas. I recommend a few bottles of water with your meal
Trying to get my w2 because I worked there in 2024 and Anna ex supervisor who has something against me is giving me a hard time. Won't let me know when the manager will be there so I can contact for my w2 my address changed gm told me that it would be mailed to store and now I'm being told it was mailed to me. When they don't have my correct address. Hr will not respond to me at all I'm being ignored and when I asked for Ralph the store managers time that he would be there she told me she wasn't allowed to provide that information. Very very very rude very unprofessional. Giving me the run around and making me wait longer to get my income tax money that I desperately need for no reason at all besides holding old grudges and being a petty person. Even when I worked there, she should have never been in a supervisor position. Has very horrible work ethic and respect for employees. I would have never said any of this if I could just have the proper information which is supposed to be provided by a previous employeer. Considering filing a complaint to the IRS if this business does not respond ASAP.

One star for efficiency. The young girl at the frying station was much too slow. She could have been training, but she was not efficient. As I watched the counter at the register, there was at least a 10-minute wait for my order.
I was here for work and I was in the mood for some fried chicken. And let me tell yall this place didn’t disappoint at all. The different sauces were awesome, and the cornbread Mac and cheese is off the chain! I highly recommend 10/10

Food is excellent along with the service. The restaurant itself is a bit dirty. Had a crispy chicken sandwich with a milkshake and moonpie. Everything is made from scratch. If you can look beyond the condition of the restaurant and focus on the food, check it out.
