This was my 1st time visiting Mora and my friend and I had a great experience. We were celebrating her birthday and they saw my note in my reservation that it was her birthday. The hostess and waitress both said happy birthday. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She had some good drink option suggestions. The food was very good. Good size portions and nice presentation. Wine and drinks were also very good. My friend got a free tiramisu since it was her birthday and that was also very good. Would definitely recommend Mora and would like to go back in the future
I have been many times and previously raved about Mora - and I hate to say this but Mora just isn't what it used to be. If you love the taste of salt, well you're in luck. The calamari tasted like a salt lick. A lovely place and maybe a bad night, but wow it was just bad.
The food was delicious. I had the pesto pasta with goat cheese and sausage. It was marvelous. The portion was generous so that I can enjoy it again. The waiter was very green when it came to wine selection. That can be improved.
You need more than one person at the bar. Even on a slow night. It gets annoying waiting for the one bartender (who was perfect but had too many things to do) who has to do the drinks for the entire restaurant and wait on diners at the bar Also, the bar area was hot. Like awful. We won't be back until the weather cools off. But you need to add a few tons of AC capacity regardless Those 2 complaints out of the way... and I mist say that the seared tuna dish is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. It was beyond. The salad was great. And so was the burrata. Branzino was great. Potatoes were under seasoned
Front door was open a long time, and it was pretty warm inside (I don't like it too cool either). Food was good. Looked like one person served the entire room. He was good, but busy, so sometimes took a while to get back to us (don't blame him). They didn't have the entree we wanted, but he offered dessert to compensate, which was nice. Kitchen help brought out desserts with no appropriate silverware. Had to flag them back to see what we needed. Nice ambiance. Very good Focaccia di Recco. Overall a good experience.
Phoenix doesn't have wonderful Italian but I was really impressed with the burrata cheese. Delightful and I would come back to try another serving and pasta next time. The restaurant visually pleasing. Staff was good.
Mora was fantastic and somewhere I would definitely recommend to others. As with most restaurants nowadays, I thought it was just a bit too loud, but it wasn't too loud that I couldn't talk. Their spaghetti was fantastic, and the special I had, short rib tortellini, was delicious. I definitely want to make another visit.
We loved this restaurant the first time we went a month ago .so tried it again. Staff were great. Food was not so much . The eggplant parmigiana was dry. They did take it back and credited our charge. The salads were not as great. We will give it another try though. It is a lovely atmosphere.
A very good meal with moments of brilliance and some ok moments. Great ambiance, but fairly loud at times. The staff pointed us in the right direction with getting the focaccia - it was wonderful, like an Italian version of a tortilla with pockets of cheese in it. I really liked the meatballs, but my wife was put off by the texture. We all enjoyed the strawberry and baby beet salad. Cocktails were excellent too. Main courses were good but not as good as the appetizers. Rigatoni was great pasta, but the sauce seemed a bit bland. My wife tried putting pepper flakes and cheese in it to jazz up the taste. My branzino was good and crispy mostly but it got a bit chewy with the skin towards the back of the fish. Still very good. Potatoes and vegetables under the fish were good but did not make me want to clean the plate (unlike the focaccia and beet salad did). Staff was friendly and helpful. I think I would be happy coming here again and trying a cocktail and pizza at happy hour at the bar.
This was our first visit to Mora. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. The hostess mentioned the special occasion when she sat us. Our server, Jacob was very personable and attentive to all of our needs. The manager stopped by several times to check in. The food was expertly prepared and very delicious. We will definitely go back.

Late Father's Day celebration. Food, cocktails and wine were exactly what we needed to enjoy the evening. Do not miss out on the focaccia! I could eat the rigatoni bolognese every day for the rest of my life. Highly recommend. General manager greeted our table and made sure we had a lovely experience.
We had a delightful time at Mora Italian restaurant our last night in Phoenix. The service, ambience, food, and wine were excellent. I was glad that the portions weren't so huge that we wouldn't be able to finish it all because there was no option for taking it home.
Perfect ambiance for a nice casual upscale restaurant. Hostess and waitress were super friendly and made me feel welcome. Important since I was dining alone. Sadly my pork chop, smashed potatoes and shaved brussels sprouts all tasted the same as they were saturated in a very strong vinaigrette/calabrian chili relish. It over powered everything. The chop was ever so slightly over cooked and not cut and re-assembled, something I would expect for a fine dining restaurant. The saving grace was the Chocolate Budino that was just spectacular. Crumbling th crust on top was perfect and I could incorporate it into a bite or just have the custard with whipped cream.
We took outdoor seating, we knew there were misters and fans. We had a large group planned and a couple of kids, we didn't want to disturb the others dinners. Yes it was warm, as we were seated on the area with only two fans, that was the true issue. The server was just horrible, slow with attending to our group, not bring ice for the water. Of our orders most were very much missing expectations and cold. One in our party order the filet rare and it came last and was fully cooked. We didnt see the waiter to address. Very unattractive, needless to say, didn't meet our expectations and won't be a returning customer. Others in our party have been in the and enjoyed a much better dinning experiences.
I have lived in this neighborhood since 1986 and seen lots of restaurants come & go. We haven't been here in years, but met up with some girlfriends at 5pm on 6/11/24. I sat in the bar for happy hours since we were just going to do light bites. 1 of my gf got there around the same time and sat at a table near the bar. I wanted her to move by me for the happy hour menu - the bartender said that we can sit at the table and get the HH menu & prices, so I moved over there. The rest of the girls showed up. If my receipt is correct, Carrie was our server and it was a completely horrible experience from beginning until the end. Mind you, the place was empty, may another couple or 2 were in the restaurant. We placed our drink orders, ordered 2 pizzas (HH menu) and calamari. She said that we couldn't have the HH prices, I pointed to the bartender and told her that he sent me to the table and said we could do HH. She argued with me, eventually walked away, came back however many minutes later and then said OK. Once served, she never asked us is we wanted another drink, etc. When she did show back up, I ordered a Tiramisu. It was in a small little cup and maybe we ate half of it. Next time she was at our table she asked if we were ready for our check, someone said yes, she then grabbed my tiramisu that I was still eating and walked away with it. Literally never in my life have I had an experience like this. The entire experience was AWFUL. The food was fair. When this place 1st opened it was hoppin, not so much now. Sorry Mora, I want to like you but it's a nope for me.
