The inside is not much to look at. However the food is great! Been there about 30 times. Every single time I left happy. I always clean my plate, and enjoy the food!!! It's worth a try!

What a gem, I was a chef for 25 years, food this good takes time, quality ingredients, and soul. Been in business since the mid 70`s. My wife has a sensitive stomach, the food was just like her Mom used to make. Huge portions, excellent service. You`ve got to support places like this or all you`ll get his corporate, boring, soulless food. Outstanding!!!

The first occurrence came when we found a roach. We went to address it with the manager he left out the back door.
Second time we went back the waitress was very rude and sarcastic. The management does not care if you complain they won't do anything or address the employee. She was rude right in front of the manager he just srugged his holders. After 40+ years I am done with this place.

This was my first visit to this homey, old-school restaurant. The service was excellent; everyone was very friendly, and my coffee cup was never empty! The food was pretty good, and the homemade bread and pies were excellent. The menu is extensive, so there is something for everyone. I'll go back, family in tow, someone in the near future.

Was there yesterday for lunch. The male waiter was pretty rude, had a bad attitude. If I go back for lunch and get the same waiter I would ask for a different one.

This restaurant has been a very favorite of mine 4 more than 30 years. 1 reason is the WIDE menu variety (20+ dinner entrees alone)! Another reason is the classic salad bar paired w/ a carafe of house wine-- which is reasonably priced! Throw in good service, + a decent ambience--My Mother's restaurant will soon be 1 of your very favorites also ❣️!

Parking: Parking is directly in front of the restaurant, on 19th avenue. I would guesstimate that they have about 6 parking spots

Wheelchair accessibility: Should encounter NO difficulties!

I only gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because it's a little old place, but still has a lot of charm. And c'mon, as long as the food is delicious and reasonably priced, it's well worth it.

Over weekend we did a call in order which we were so excited to add on a loaf of bread and 2 portions of pies. The bread totally fell apart and the pie crust was so hard I couldn't cut thru to eat. This was so very different from our experience before. Sad...

This historical hole-in-the-wall serves up THE BEST food from prime rib, shrimp scampi, seabass, meatballs, turkey dinners with all the sides and a simple and delicious salad bar. We had our 2025 New Year's Party here. Julian was a great waiter. We set up the room early for our small party and they were very accomodating. EveryONE loved their meals and there was plenty to take home! Highly recommend for home cooked meals.

I didn't snap pictures of the food but it was pleasantly presented and absolutely delicious. If guests didn't clean their plates, which most did, they packed up the leftovers.

Been years since I've been here and stopped in for lunch on Christmas eve. My husband has the chicken fingers and I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. We really need to get here more often. Like having your mom or grandma cook. Just old fashioned delicious and comforting, and the people are so friendly and welcoming.

Don't come here expecting Michelin stars. This is sturdy American comfort food; meatloaf, roast beef, fried chicken, sides that include mixed veggies, green beans, baked, mashed, or fried (as in French fries) potatoes. Dessert would be a pie; apple, blueberry, coconut cream, and the like.
They have a killer salad bar and very gif specials all for very reasonable prices.
Come for the coziness and soild comfort food, good, often friendly, service, and stay for the pie and tea or coffee, you won't be sorry.

Vegetarian options: You can put together a vegetarian meal but vegan would be a challenge.

Parking: The parking lot can fill up easily
