I have been going to this hidden gem for at least 20 years. Always a nice meal and staff. Pies to die for. Go to place for a Turkey supper or Prime Rib and of course Chicken Fried Steak. Hope they remain in business for many years to come.

I finally found a spot in Phoenix that really feels like an old school diner. The open face hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy was a pleasant surprise, and the salad bar was a nice bonus. The staff is super friendly too!

Wonderful food and service but nothing has changed in the restaurant since I was there in the 80s. Don't let the decor stop you. The food is great! The prime rib was worth every penny.

I placed an order for meatloaf, a garden salad and strawberry cheesecake. I wanted a Greek salad they didn’t have it. They don’t have strawberries for strawberry cheesecake and the meatloaf was puréed basically purée, meat, frozen, and into some big clump of whatever that was horrible. I tried to tell them I would like a refund and they made it so difficult. It’s not to my mother’s. It used to be the garden salad had big baby carrots, and cheddar cheese and mozzarella, and the salad just think about ordering from this place because not only Manuel the manager was very condescending. They will not listen to your request for a return of your items they want you to drive around with the food instead of replacing it or offering alternative they’re very rude and Manuel should not be a manager. He does not know how to handle these situations.
I haven't been here in years. Every time I think of it it's on Sunday and they're closed. I was so excited to remember this place today and actually take my wife and kids there. It was my wife's first time and even though the place just looks old it's quiet and clean and nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the salad bar our kids filled up on honey wheat bread. My wife had the country fried steak and I had the fried cod both of us had the salad bar. We have plenty of leftovers to take home and our full. My son got the dinosaur pepperoni pizza or she was so excited about he didn't want to actually eat. I've gotten so tired of bad reviews there's nothing fancy about this place it was just simple good clean quiet and nice. The menu and the decor have not been updated since the '70s and I love it. They do have beer and wine available as well. We finished it all off with a large piece of chocolate cream pie. So for two dinners a pizza two one trip salad bars drinks and dessert are total was $56. Absolutely amazing.

9/10/25 5pm party of 2. Julian was our server. We were greeted, seated and waited on in a very timely manner. We ordered mozzarella cheese sticks as an appetizer. Was the largest amount of cheese sticks I've ever seen served! 10 cheese sticks with a great batter and served hot! The marinara sauce was absolutely delicious! We both took the salad bar as one as our side choices. That was a great decision as there was many choices and it was all fresh and fully stocked. We took sea bass and chicken strips as are two entrees. The sea bass was amazing and the chicken strips were all done in house. We took home a full peach pie for dessert. Absolutely everything this restaurant serves is made by scratch and completed in house! We will definitely return and we highly recommend this restaurant.
