Super good! Definitely recommend. I’ve been to Japan before and this place definitely has really good food. The staff are super nice and accommodating and seating outside and inside are cozy! Not a complaint.

Visited this “restaurant” yesterday. It is effectively not operating. We were the only guests there. The on line menu is very different from that provided on site. The person at the bar, who did not speak English, could not make any cocktail. The two beer taps were not working. There was one person in the kitchen which did not appear to be operating. Very strange. Was this an aberration or what? We had a bottled beer and left. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Updated menu with far more reasonable prices than the last iteration of this place. The food brings me back to Japan. It is absolutely the real deal from a chef that masters the staple foods that everyone loves. The kakuni (pork belly) udon was delicious and the portions were generous. Authentic Japanese comfort food.

I went here with a few friends, and it was great! The food was good. I had their vegan ramen with crispy pumpkin and tofu. I really appreciated the vegan option! The service was also super. Even though we’re teenagers, we sat at the nicest table in the whole restaurant! Although the whole restaurant was gorgeous, so wherever we sat would have been nice.

Changing my five star review to a one star unfortunately: My husband and I used to come here all the time and I loved everything I ate here every time, until tonight. I don't know if they changed owners or chefs or there are supply issues but the pork skewers were tough and not good at all, and the ramen was completely different and lacking the ingredients they used to put in. So disappointed, used to be my favorite restaurant and now I likely won't be back.

I haven’t been here for a while but from memory it is a really great ramen place. I went twice and had the ramen and the sandos as well as their desserts. It is the only ramen place that matches my preferred broth taste and for the price it seems reasonable compared to the hyped up ramen places on the east side. I really hope this business isn’t closing anytime soon judging from the on and off “temporarily closed or perm” because I do wish to have them around still! Hopefully the business is just going through restructuring of everything!

Had a bad experience here at Nanaya. I think I'll stick to other places...

At one point i was a regular here. Food was always delicious and flavorful, the staff was warm and welcoming. A few months ago the the place was temporarily closed which was a bummer. When they opened back up I ran to get my usual, but my usual was gone. I guess in the time they were closed they “revamped” the restaurant, new staff, new menu, new chefs, new recipes. And that is when i fell out of love with this place. The staff is rude and dismissive, the food is flavorless and tasteless, and it is not enjoyable anymore. I am not sure why they decided to make all these changes, I'm sure for business purposes, but i think they made the wrong choice. Super sad i have to cross this one off my list.

I want to start by saying that I REALLY wanted to love this place. The staff was very friendly and it has a cool, more urban style, cocktail bar vibe. We ordered something from each section of the menu and found ourselves (sadly) underwhelmed. The ramen was lacking in depth of flavor and was missing the extra things that usually come standard with ramen (like bean sprouts and seaweed). Tuna tartare presentation was pretty but tasted almost …. sweet. I think the wine I’d originally ordered was corked so I got a cocktail instead which was fine, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, we felt like the whole experience was a lacking. We love this neighborhood and do support local, but this one missed the mark.

Tasteless Ramen now! The need the old chefs, the old owners, the old suppliers who ever back in that kitchen! I was a regular and stop coming due to work and traveling. I was looking forward to enjoying a good meal. Sadly, I would choose eating out the trash of fish market before eating back here again. Smh!

My table was seated right away and the vibe there is very cute! All of the food and drinks I had was absolutely delicious. Only issue is our server wasn’t very present and then the kitchen was backed up so half our party received their entrees and the other half waited an additional 35/45 min till we received the rest of the entrees which was pretty awkward. But they definitely made up for it and apologized. We ordered- veggie gyoza- curry bao buns- hamachi- crispy tuna rolls- chicken katsu sandwichMy favorite was definitely the bao buns! The sandwich needed more sauce

Went here for a girl friend’s birthday with a few of our girl friends. When she picked this place I was super excited because this place was on my want to go list for a while. Unfortunately, it was super disappointing because the ramen I had was tasteless (I was starved so I had no choice to eat it) and the service was not good. However, my cocktail was delicious and the girls who ordered other food on the appetizer list enjoyed their food! For the service, they didn’t take away any dishes when we were done eating (we even stacked them neatly for them to take away), didn’t refill our waters when the glass was sitting empty for 10 minutes (we had to continue to ask for more water)For the food, the ramen came out quickly while the other food took 40 minutes to arrive which was a bit awkward considering you are supposed to wait to eat for everyone’s food to arrive. They ended up taking the three main courses off the bill and giving us dessert (which was not asked for, but kind). The restaurant is very large, but it was not even half full. Although the service was not good, the server was nice.
