I love eating here. My favorite Nigerian restaurant to eat at. And I have traveled everywhere around the US. I usually get the beef stew with the fufu and I can’t help myself not to get it. I usually buy it every weekend. They’re very fast a reliable. I’ve never heard anything wrong with my order. The people there are also very nice. But mind you I’ve eaten more than just the beef stew and it is really spicy. I like spicy so I don’t mind. But I’ve been looking on DoorDash and it said temporarily closed. When do you guys open back up because I’ve been craving your food haha.

I don’t usually write reviews but this people got on my nerves on multiple occasion so I will write this. I would give zero star if possible. If you value your time DO NOT come to this place. This is the absolute worst business service ever. The first time I placed on order over the phone, I drove over 30mins to go pick up my food I called multiple times but no response. I later received a call that day saying they are already closed and cannot fulfill my order. Why would you take an order if you cannot fulfill it.On another occasion, I placed an online order, drove 30mins to Tempe, only to be informed that they have moved and are no longer in that location. Keep in mind that their online profile, business hour didn’t reflect this change. Their address is still the same. There is absolutely no regard for their customers. Please STAY AWAY.

This was my first time trying egusi soup and fufu and it was bomb I though I could finish the whole thing but my eyes are bigger than my stomach lol I definitely had to get the hang of eating fufu and take smaller prices because I’m not really use to just swallowing food while but it was

I was so disappointed by this restaurant. I love Nigerian food, but this was unfortunately not good. I was so excited to try it. The rice was unfortunately very oily, and the chicken that we got was very dry.

I was really excited to try this place out ! I saw all the comments and positive feedback on social media and the food itself looked amazing . But, unfortunately for me my experience was the exact opposite . This location is set in the Tempe food court. So automatically I was turned off by the fact it's not personable no interaction with the actual creator or business owner . You have to order through a kiosk ( which I do understand the idea of conveniency culture .) But places like this deserve to be show cased . What I ordered was fried plantains, Ogbono Soup , with two pieces of chicken , poundo fufu, and two sodas . For starters , The plantains were a bit undercooked, the soup was lacking flavor very ( oily , had no other contents but broth and the chicken ) so what was advertised on the menu looked NOTHING like what I got , no fixings such as ( no okra , the peppers etc) . The chicken was dry and it didn't taste fresh at all , it had this peculiar after taste I couldn't quite put my finger on. Overall I wasn't at all satisfied with my food and I'd say this meal in particular wasn't worth the $51.00 whatsoever. I want to say I stand firmly on supporting black businesses, but I won't lie about my experience. I'd say i would give this place a second try and at least come back to try the Jollof rice since that seems to be their top seller as it was sold out .

Today’s meal was not a 5 star , this is the only African restaurant I eat from and today was a totally, totally low blow. The rice didn’t even taste like Jollof rice , I ask for extra spicy and it seem like they were being cheap to spice up the food, the egusi soup was oil down and a bit salty, it stated we would wait 15 to 26 mins , we end up waiting over an hour, come on Nkechi who ever is in the kitchen today was not giving African Nigerian authentic taste

Exceptional taste and the portion sizes can feed 2 conveniently. The Egusi and fufu is always my go to choice everytime but I also like trying others too. Nkechi's Pot is my number 1 spot for Nigerian food in Phoenix.

I am a Nigerian and I can vouch for the authenticity of the place. Egusi with fufu brought back the food memories of home. Highly recommended.

The ogbono soup tasted like soap for meI also got less meat as well. 4/10 but the egusi soup was amazing I give it 9/10 because it was little spicy for me.

The only reason I didnt give a 5 star rating on the Egusi Soup, is it was too hot to eat. I dont mind a little heat, I like to enjoy tasting & eating my food without the inside of my mouth on fire. Other than that food is Excellent ... please cut out some of the heat out for a person to enjoy. I enjoy Nigerian food. The price is good.

I drove all the way on the other side of town 45 minutes and put Fufu down in my order to not get any but, rice! My order was pointless and was a total waste of my drive. I also saw the option where it said add double Fufu didn’t want double Fufu I am just a single person ordering for myself. so I figured it came as a meal because it came with a side of rice and a drink. If it wasn’t apart of that option a suggestion I would do is add that in the description next to your soups. Totally disappointed I even added a little description w/ Fufu in my receipt. ?To respond back to your comment you should add in your description that Pepper Soup does not come with Fufu you have to separately buy it when technically it is a meal and should come with Fufu. That makes absolutely no sense I will be calling because I called way before hand to let you know what I wanted let alone to even get a messed up order doesn’t matter. It should have came with Fufu every African restaurant I’ve been to all my orders have came with Fufu!It wasn’t a substitute its a meal and Fufu comes with Pepper Soup.
