Absolutely loved this place all around, atmosphere, service and food. My friend and I met our 2 other friends here at 4:00 pm right when they opened. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated by a very nice and friendly young man, who was our server throughout the evening. The restaurant is very small, no tables bigger than to hold a party of 4. The bar though was big, it could accommodate a lot of people. They also have outdoor patio seating which looked very inviting if the weather was cooler.

We started off with the smoking deal they offer, a bottle of wine and a Bruschetta Board for $30. We ordered through out the evening cocktails and beers. They have limited cocktails, but the ones they offer were excellent. I had The V and Serendipity. The 4 of us shared all the tapas orders which were the Truffled Hamachi, 12pc Sashimi Assortment, Green Chili Beef Empanadas, Chicken Skewers, Spicy Salmon Avocado Maki and the Yellowtail Aburi. All was EXCELLENT!

This was my first time here and definitely will not be my last.

A delightful experience! Overall, the food was excellent, service also excellent and the restaurant is adorable. For a small space, they organized it well. We didn’t feel cramped. The variety of sushi was fresh and delicious, presentation was spot on, empanadas were also great. This is a must try restaurant. You can tell the owner takes enormous pride in the food and experience. You won’t be sorry, go early, they don’t take reservations.

Excellent service and quality of food. Small plates, but the small plates were generous. Fish was fresh and executed perfectly.

Probably my favorite hidden gem. Food is amazing! Please get the Hamachi Sashimi… it’s the best I’ve ever had. Not a bad item on the menu. All the prices are extremely fair. Also, the service is always top notch.

Mixela is such an amazing experience. Time slows down, drinks are delicious, food is made with love and skill, service is friendly and attentive. It is my oasis and I love my nights on the patio or at the bar with the Mixela crew. My favorite restaurant in the Phoenix metro by a mile.

A foodie heaven !!! Came to this little neighborhood gem to meet some childhood friends and was blown away . The yummiest culinary creations like pulled pork arepas and chile empanadas.. not to mention , they also have sushi - the freshest , highest quality around . Tapas style but each dish is very satisfying. Great place for friends or even a casual date sitting at the bar sipping wine . If you love sangria , the white wine version is superb . Staff and owners very warm and welcoming . Highly recommend !

This restaurant is the newest hidden gem in Phoenix. One of the owners, Valentina, make you feel so welcome as soon as you get there. The food was excellent! It is tapas style so meant to share. Ulysses, our server, was great! Very attentive and helped us select dishes to our taste preference. We had the bruschetta, yellow tail sushi, Chinese five spice chicken skewers, empanadas, meatballs, lamb parmentier, tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake. It was all so delicious! My favorite was probably the chicken skewers. The wine list is also excellent. They had a lot of unique choices. You can tell that they really know great wine! I will definitely be back!
