Babbo Italian Eatery is amazing! They have so many delicious pasta options, especially Gluten Free!! This is a must-try if you're in the Phoenix area.
Artichoke shrimp and crab dip is amazing. Chicken Limone too!
I've been to Babbo's several times and loved every dish I've tried so far. My favorite salad is the Roasted Brussel Sprout!! Wish I could re-create their bread. It's amazing!!
Son #1 recommended we try this spot while heading back from some sightseeing. We were seated super quick and soon my sweet baby and I had mojitos too. There are not GF marking on the menu but our waiter did also check on a few items on the menu for us, but learned the soy sauce is not safe. We stuck with the gluten free pasta!
Loved this place before it closed due to a fire, and when it re-opened it was inconsistent, but still worth taking a chance. However, picked up salads to go (as side dishes for Thanksgiving) and was totally disappointed. My favorite salad -- roasted brussel sprout and beet salad -- was 90% lettuce and just a spoonful of goodies. Darn expensive ($15+) for a container of lettuce greens. Plus, this place now doesn't allow you to order online unless the restaurant is open. Website said opens at 11:30 am, so I called and the waitress answering the phone said the restaurant doesn't open till noon, call back then. I waited and placed an on-line order (at 11:50 am) and when I arrived to pick up the door was locked. But the sign on the door said it opens at 11:30 am. I eventually got in and picked up my order, but I'm still perplexed with how this place could be so confusing on when they open, when you can order, etc. Lots of great places in the area, so won't be back here for a while.
Dined here because a friend highly recommended it, and it's open during current pandemic. It has a variety of pastas, not all are truly Italian style. I like spicy food, so I ordered the jambalaya with whole wheat pasta. That meant penne pasta instead of fettuccini style. It was tasty and such a large portion that it was 3 meals worth.
We’ve eaten here before and it wasn’t terribly bad, just very basic. Definitely not authentic Italian, but edible American-style. We got the chicken parm meal to-go, and it was truly awful. We really tried to eat it, but it was so very very bad. It clearly had been sitting for awhile, like hours. It was chopped soggy chicken nugget style chicken over ziti pasta in a bland tomato puree that was all dried out. The bread was stale, the croutons on the lettuce salad soggy, the dessert was these tiny balls of blah stale dough. The people were friendly and the service prompt, but we ended up having a bunch of food no one wanted to touch.
Always hate good by back after my order is messed up. But thankfully the manger made it right
