This was our first time dining at Bisutoro. We love Obon, so we knew it would be good, but it exceeded all of our expectations. The quality of the fish is exceptional. There are wonderful cooked options. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We went with his recommendations and were so glad we did. We will definitely be going back soon.
Melissa was our server and she was fantastic! Food was great and would highly recommend. “Melissa was wonderful and also a smoke show “-Kyle

Love this place! We were a party of 4 women! We had the Edamame, Yuzu Yellowtail Crudo, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Cucumber Salad, Miso Soup, Garlic Fried Chicken, Bao Buns (Soft Shell & Bird), Fried Rice with Chicken, Specialty roll (Dynamit Shrimp), Sweet & Sour Pork Belly, I might be missing another dish or two we also had plenty of Mulls and Wine ordered as well. On top of the food being great the staff is amazing. I am blanking her name (sorry), she was the bartender and our server (she remembered me from the many visits before this one). Loved her sense of humor, she had us laughing and always kept our glasses full. I would recommend trying Bisutoro at Biltmore 10 out of 10! Thank you
Overall, great experience. The server was knowledgeable and great with recommendations. She also curated a unique experience presenting several authentic sides that I typically would not have experienced anywhere else here in the US. The cooked food was flavorful. The sushi was general plain though, not much depth or variation to the flavor pallet of what I tried (the omakase nigiri). I would have expected more from the sushi honestly, but overall still very happy with the experience.
Awful sushi, even worse service, just like all their other locations.
Places like these just need to die off - why do you bother opening a restaurant and not be able to cook anything or even have the semblance of an actual service?

Easily the best sushi I’ve had in Arizona. Unique types of fish that you just won’t find elsewhere, all of which are thoughtfully crafted and well balanced in terms of flavor profile and preparation, none of which takes from the taste of the premium fish quality and selection. If you’re looking for a basic sushi restaurant this isn’t the place. You’ll pay for the premium on everything but it’s money well spent if you know what you’re doing. Dine with confidence!

Always wonderful service, food and cocktails! LeAnn is incredible at remembering us and making sure we're always taken care of. Juan makes great drinks and we always enjoy coming for dinner.

Service was extremely slow and all over the place. Food came out in an odd order and took forever. Even asking for the check we waited 10 minutes.

I’m a server and big foodie so I brought my friends on a Monday night for Arizona restaurant week. We made a reservation at 7pm we arrived about 5 minutes late. There was a group in front of us waiting to be seated, no host to be seen. She comes up with a to go order for someone else then proceeds to go bus a table for the group in front of us. Not sure why it had to be that table but there were plenty of other open tables in the restaurant. She took her time bussing the table and still hadn’t come back to the front for about ten minutes. After waiting almost 15 minutes to get sat we made our way to the sushi bar and sat there. It was open seating. The sushi chef Josie could tell we were irritated and offered us some free appetizers. If it weren’t for him he would’ve walked out. The chef had to get menus for us and get a server to come over. He apologized multiple times but was very sweet and made sure we got our food promptly. The drinks took about 20 to 30 minutes to come out and they all came out at different times even though we ordered them at once. Again it was a Monday night, not very busy so not sure why the wait time was so long. The assistant general manager ran food and drinks to the wrong tables multiple times. We were there for about 2 hours and saw our server a total of three times. Not once did anyone ask us how our food tasted or how everything was. The energy from most the wait staff including the host was very off putting and negative, almost as if we were an inconvenience. The even started bussing the table while we were still enjoying our food as it was approaching closing time. As being as upset as we were I’m shocked that a manager didn’t touch our table to make things right. Like I said if it weren’t for Chef Josie we would’ve been gone. The food was amazing I really enjoyed all of it, and the drinks once we got them! Such a shame the service was so poor :( as a server myself I just can’t understand not attending to your tables especially on a slow night during Arizona restaurant week.

We did read the other reviews prior to going to eat at Bisutoro and our opinion mirrors both the good and the bad aspects of former reviews. The food was tasty and creative although portions are TINY. Drinks as well are diminutive for the price paid. So the value vs. cost is off kilter. The restaurant is very pretty inside, clean, wait staff friendly. Service was disjointed and slow. We were rewarded with a complimentary dessert as we had mentioned it was our 1st time there, and that was very much appreciated. So we tried the Mochi which was delicious. Dinner for 3 with 2 sushi orders, 3 drinks and 1 appetizer was $135.00. All of us did not leave with full stomachs. So in summary, plan to dine at a leisurely pace and pay more than the dinner is worth, but the food is good. Likely the rent paid to be located at the Biltmore Mall is the core of the reason for high prices and skimpy portions.
This place was a complete disaster from start to finish. No one was at the host stand when we arrived, so we stood there waiting like idiots. When the host finally came around she helped the guests in front of us and left the host stand to clean a table when there were PLENTY of clean tables around (the restaurant wasn’t even slightly busy). We had a reservation at 7pm and at 7:15 we ended up finding our own seat at the sushi bar and let the host know. Once we were finally seated, we were completely ignored for 15 minutes, and at 7:45 we finally got our drinks.
When the server did show up, she had a rude, dismissive attitude the entire time, like we were an inconvenience just for being there. She never checked up on us once.
The food wasn’t anything special, and absolutely not worth the ridiculous prices they charge. I voiced my concerns and the general manager overheard, she clearly didn’t care and did nothing about it. No apology, no attempt to make it right—just brushed it off like it was normal. She also kept walking by us as we were clearly looking around trying to find our server and did NOTHING about it. We would also see the her and the other servers huddled together gossiping and looking at us multiple times.
The sushi chef had to find our server multiple times so we can put in an order. He was the only person that made our time at this restaurant enjoyable. My friends and I work in the service industry so we were shocked that in a nice restaurant like this place claims to be, it lacks hospitality. Shame on the management team.
Terrible service, mediocre food, and zero accountability. Never coming back, and I suggest you don’t waste your time or money either.

First time coming here and food was good ! It was Mother's Day weekend and they were out of a few items like shallot crispy rice, shallot pasta and saparo. It would have been nice to know that before hand but the bartender was a bit lost when we asked for those specific items .. the bartender quiante{ not sure if I spelled it right } made up for the experience !

I’ve been to bisutoro for my 30th in a lunch day and wanted to treat my mom for Mother’s Day. Thy definitely exceeded my expectations especially with finding out that they do HH everyday, last min. We live out eat but I wanted to treat my mom to this because of the experience I had. My dad, being from the east coast had a great experience here and being that I only see him once a year. Loved their crispy salmon roll, sake flight, ramens, and rosé. If i lived closer, I’d come here especially HH. Loved the atmosphere and energy. And if you like the basic California rolls, go somewhere else honey. I’ve been around the world and this is as authentic as you can get. ❤️
