“A Flavorful Caribbean Escape in Phoenix”

Ocho Rios was a delightful surprise, serving up bold Caribbean flavors that made the visit memorable. The oxtails were rich and savory, with gravy so good it begged to be licked from the spoon, though I wished there had been a bit more meat. The rice and peas were comforting but could have used a touch more seasoning, while the Jamaican coleslaw stole the show—vinegar-based, lightly sweet, and refreshingly addictive.

My partner’s jerk chicken had a flavorful crust and came with a sauce so delicious I could dip anything in it all day. The potato salad was simple but paired well, and the macaroni and cheese, while enjoyable, didn’t stand out as anything special. His brother’s fried chicken, on the other hand, was a knockout—crispy, juicy, and bursting with flavor, easily a ten out of ten. We also shared sweet wings as an appetizer, beautifully charred on the outside and moist inside, the kind of dish you could eat by the dozen. Everything was washed down with rum punch that was as refreshing as it was delicious.

I was too famished to take pictures this time, but when I return I’ll be sure to capture them—the food was not only delicious but also very appealing to the eye. Sadly, the rum black cake was sold out, but that just gives us the perfect excuse to come back and enjoy another round of Caribbean comfort.

Service was the one drawback. With only one hardworking server juggling orders and the bar, guests were left waiting for drinks or attention. A little more help would make the experience smoother and less stressful for everyone.

Despite that, Ocho Rios left us eager to return—for the flavors, the atmosphere, and hopefully that rum cake waiting at the end.

Oxtail dinner was 30$ very small portions, very underwhelming taste. The Mac was good but the potato salad had no soul. Paid for Jerk sauce that I never got. On top of that food was lukewarm.
If your from the east coast beware. SMH

I had an issue with my Postmates order and the staff was not only extremely helpful when I called, they made me a fresh order for the driver to pick up, and called me multiple times to keep me updated. The service here is outstanding!

Went on a Sunday afternoon for a Birthday lunch. Food was awesome made me think of home (East Coast). The young lady serving us was very pleasant. Music (a DJ) and drinks was on point too. Worth every penny we will definitely be back!

Not only is their food amazing but I love what Ocho Rios does for the Caribbean community in the valley. Ocho Rios is always throwing fun events where I know I can come get some delicious food and hear some good music. You guys have a customer for life, wishing you much more success!

I really appreciate the personal attention that I received, I needed full pan of Jerk Chicken by 1pm the next day, but the online timeframe started at 630pm the next day. I was contacted and was able to place my order, and all details were met. Thank you so so much, you made our family function that much more special.

The Oxtails were really really tender and great. The were falling off the bone lol. The oxtails sauce could use a bit more seasoning/flavor and I personally like my plantains cooked with more and to have a slight crunch. Overall the food was really good and I’ll definitely come back again

My niece and daughter put me on to this restaurant! I placed my first order with Uber Eats today and the food was delivered hot and fresh! Rasta Pasta 10/10 ahhhmazing 🤩 I’m excited to taste other items on the menu.

Visiting AZ for my birthday, my cousins who live out here told me that I MUST check this place out. I didn't think twice, and now that I've experienced it, I have no regrets!

Service was wonderful. Food was delicious. We were there on a weekday evening so we were one of two couples dining in. I’m sure on a weekend evening would’ve been much busier/livelier. We had a wonderful meal.
