Mimosa was served with wine instead of Champaign so I’d advised against ordering this.Food was on the salty side and portions were very excessive.Service lacked but everyone was kind.

Very original dishes made with quality products. The decor and the atmosphere contribute to the very pleasant side of the place. On the other hand, the tiny chocolate cake at $14 is just scandalous!

This was a surprise treat! Had a group of colleagues in town for the week and this place was booked for one of our evening dinners. I had never heard of this place and had no preconceived ideas about it.Wow, ambiance and layout really kind of blew me away. Walking through the front it seemed like a nice, fancy restaurant but then we walked through the main floor and out into the yard and the place grew by 10x. Really unexpected but very welcomed as the weather was beautiful to sit outside. There is a separate bar building on the grounds which is also unique. There are even random cats that mosey on through the grounds Great atmosphere. The food. Well the most surprising dish was the eggplant meatballs. They were fantastic and the polenta they were served with was rich and creamy like mashed potatoes but better. I think the group ended up ordering 5 plates of these things. Really a must try!On the other hand, a colleague and I split the ribs for dinner and that left much to desire. First of all, they are huge and make a really great presentation. They look like dinosaur ribs but from there, it kind of falls short. The where charred which can be good but you get a lot of char taste with it which is overpowering. The worst part was the amount of fat on these ribs barely left any meat for you to enjoy. When you did get a bite, it was good but felt there was more picking away the fat than there was time to enjoy the meat. A let down for the price they are charging.Overall, really cool place with unique food options and a great atmosphere. Just make sure the food is cooked well and I would go back again for sure.

Friends and I came for an amazing dinner. Exterior satisfied with all their food. Beef short ribs are a must. Perfectly charred on the outside. Meat is soft, most and flavorful. Beef ragu pasta was an excellent serving size. Great for sharing. Eggplant meatballs were also delightful. Would get all of the above again! Great place for date night. Ambience is perfect. Even has a fire pit outside.

Wife's birthday dinner at Ocorillo - Highly recommend. We had a fantastic dinner at Ocotillo celebrating my wife's birthday. Both the New York strip and ribeye steak delicious. A little over cooked from the Medium request, but still good. The staff was attentive and even surprised my wife with a special birthday dessert, which was a lovely touch. Overall, a great experience for a special occasion. The ambience was niece and dim without any powerful light hitting our faces. The out door dinning looks amazing as well. Thank you Ocotillo, I'll give you guys a second shot next time on the steak.

Don’t bother, the hostess are unaware of anyone’s existence unless you are high class garbage

Spending a late afternoon at Ocotillo is one of my favorite Phoenix pass times. The outdoor patio is beautiful and expansive with many seating options. The happy hour menu is full of delicious choices, including their tasty signature chicken dish at half price. Sides like sun dried strawberries, beet salad, and eggplant meatballs won’t disappoint.

Three of us enjoyed Sunday brunch on the patio, along with one of the resident cats that curled up next to us. We were in a little nook on the side that afforded privacy and shielded us, all the better for leisurely conversation. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. Especially enjoyed the avocado toast with scrambled egg and potato patty, along with a coconut drink, served in a coconut!

Overall very good and would recommend. Our server was great-the 3 stars was for the time it took to get our food after ordering. Kitchen was slow (I assume) but not the end of the world if you're not in a rush.

Food was excellent but as some others said it was a little slow to get entrees out. Portions are small. Would definitely come back, just make sure you put in for an app as soon as you get seated lol.

Had been recommended ocotilllo by someone and made a reservation for the outside patio. When we arrived, we were seated on a back patio that's not nearly as nice as their front patio, and it was made up entirely of benches that you would find at a brewery. It was the weirdest vibe ever, and felt wayyyy too casual and uncomfortable for the prices of their menu. Our server was nice, but we were not checked on often and service in general was very slow. The food was pretty good, but not worth it for the experience. We would definitely not recommend this place to anyone and probably won't go back.

No reservations available indoors. Ok, when we arrived for our outdoor reservation the inside was relatively empty. It's obvious that management wants to fill the patio dining area to show off how “busy” or “popular” they were. My partner and I ordered the same thing, a NY strip steak medium rare. My steak was (of course) over done while my partner's was slightly more rare than preferred. Rather than send the food back, we just swapped dishes. Still, for the price, I'd expect more. Made very little difference having to eat on the patio with falling temps. I'm not sure I'd recommend a visit here.

Food was delicious, the price was reasonable for the caliber of food we received. The ambiance is very nice and comfortable. Everyone in our group enjoyed the meal and we all agreed we will return to Ocotillo soon.
