I grabbed a quick lunch at Old Station Sub Shop yesterday, and it was a solid choice for a sandwich. Their subs are pretty generously filled, and the bread was fresh, which is always a good sign.

This place is located near downtown Phoenix. I’ve passed by this place many times and never stopped in. Today was my first time and it was so delicious. The owner’s name is Bill, he and his staff were super nice. The bread the meats were all super fresh and delicious. I got my sandwich with extra dressing.

Definitely a sleeper and a good option for gov workers in the area. It’s a small sandwich shop with a rustic and authentic Arizona feel. Food was ready quickly and also got some good lemonade from there as well!

Been trying to get to this place for a year since seeing it in the Arizona Highway magazine got the meatball sandwich and it was fire. Couldn't stop eating it on the way home had to take my shirt off so I wouldn't stain it with the amazing sauce.
Got another one which I think was called the Italian not sure the owner recommended it but killed that one when I got home with my nephew.
Got the old lady a turkey and cheeses. She enjoyed for her after work meal. And the cheese Danish was 🔥 going to get more when I go back. And the brick of rice Krispie I got for my grandson was amazing.
Sorry I only got 1 picture but its cause nothing lasted.

I’ve eaten here twice and ordered the same sub and found it very consistent. Fresh cool veggies. Ripe tasty tomatoes. The sub was simple and perfect because of the great bread and quality ingredients.

This sub shop for lunch, and it totally exceeded my expectations! The bread was perfectly fresh, the ingredients tasted super high quality, and everything was made exactly how I ordered it. The staff was friendly, quick, and seemed to genuinely care about giving great service. The shop was clean and had a really welcoming vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back — it’s easily one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time!

On a lunch break from a meeting at ADE I decided to check this place out because it was close. I would come back again and go out of my way next time. Food was tasty and they have a combo discount. The service was perfect. They are happy and diligent. Country store atmosphere in the busy downtown area.

Don’t let the neighborhood fool you… this spot has some of the BEST sandwiches in Phoenix.
The vibe inside is awesome—old license plates, vintage décor, and history on the walls from when it first opened 40 years ago. The owner is super passionate and you can taste it in the food.
I tried the cheeseburger sub (one of his creations) and it was amazing. Definitely going back to work through the rest of the menu.
Downtown Phoenix needs more places like this—trust me, it’s worth the stop.
