Decided on the old, delicious chicken fried steak, eggs over easy and tater tots. 1st, the coffee was cold. 2nd, the chicken fried steak came out lookin pale on the crust and over slathered with a white sauce, no sausage to speak of. Cutting into the steak was difficult and once I got a piece in my mouth it felt uncooked and tepid at best. The taste was awful like the meat was spoiled. I used to go on 44th St at the old Taco Bell which was chronicled on Diners, Drive ins @ Dives, Guy Fierry. This meal I had today and returned after one bite would have never made it on TV ! Just horrible!

I ordered the chicken fried steak with over-easy eggs and breakfast potatoes. The breading was perfectly crispy, though I wish it had a bit more seasoning. The meat itself was decent but a little on the dry side. The gravy was good, though pretty standard — it could’ve used a little more character. The potatoes were fine, tasty enough, but nothing that really stood out.

Only one specific vegan option but the menu says eggs and sausage can be subbed in anything. I’m too skeptical about butter to do this. I went when they weren’t busy and they were willing to do the hash browns in oil instead of butter so that was great! The vegan wrap has a little kick to it but I’m baby.

Food is always great and prices are much more reasonable than other similar breakfast restaurants. Staff was friendly and never made us feel rushed.
Cody was really fantastic. He was very friendly. The restaurant itself was very bright, welcoming and clean. The food was also delicious. I have nothing bad to say about our experience and would definitely recommend this place!
