I love surprising friends with your afternoon teas, walking thru the museum & getting a tiny art from the refurbished cigarette machine. 🥰
Unexpected delightful menu and food. The chef came out to ask us if we enjoyed our meal! The NC Museum of Art seems to put a lot of thought and attention to whatever they do and the Cafe also shows this. Thanks so much for a start to a great visit.
Wonderful restaurant inside the museum. Usually everything is very good. However, the last two visits, they seemed to be short-handed. The burger was great! Rosemary fries were also very good. However, I cannot give their quiche a good review. It appeared and tasted burnt and overcooked. It doesn't have a crust, which is fine but it would have tasted better if it wasn't baked for so long. I took two bites and gave up. The salad was delicious. I will return, just won't order the quiche.
There were seven of us who had lunch at the Cafe on Thursday, August 28. Everyone was very comfortable with the seating and the service, and enjoyed their meal. Would definitely visit again!
I have the same experience every time I dine at NCMA cafe, EXCELLENT. The service, cocktails and food are always consistently delicious. Everyone that works in the cafe is cheerful, professional and genuinely cares about your experience. My favorite lunch item is the chicken salad with cilantro, but I have tried almost everything on the menu and I'm never disappointed. Thank you NCMA Cafe!
Service was fairly slow, not much attention (ex fill up eater,m). Food was pretty ordinary considering the location and the price. I don't mind the price but expected more creativity in the menu choices
We are pescatarian, and were a bit reluctant to dine here based on the online menu. However, they easily accommodated us, and the food was delish! Much better than we expected, since it was not a stand-alone restaurant. We would go back just for the food.
Going to this cafe was a highlight of my visit to the art museum! Dani, the lady who manages it is very sweet and knowledgeable, and very enthusiastic about the delicious food and tea the cafe sells. I had a veggie and hummus sandwich, a vietnamese cinnamon roll with expresso infused filling and condensed cream caramel icing on top, and a black tea with orange peel flavoring. It was all extremely delicious! She is opening up the Allen restaurant in the museum in August, and I cannot wait to visit after trying the delicious food at this temporary cafe! The prices are good too! I highly recommend!

Temporary Cafe at the Phx Art Museum was Amazing! I believe her name was Dani.. provided a top tier experience and excellent service! She was so helpful and kind and answered all of our questions. We tried the caramel lattes, teas, caesar salad, and fruit - it was all really good!! Was sad to see the palette close, but now I'm excited for what is coming based on our recent experience. Looking forward to coming back again!!

A small cafe located conveniently inside the art museum. There are indoor and outdoor seats available. There is also a private dining room for small groups. The menu is small and somewhat overpriced especially since the pandemic.
