This has to be the best airport food we have eaten. We had GLUTEN FREE firecracker tofu with rice. The flavour was amazing with the sauces we had. Very friendly staff. The lady from Chicago was so helpful helping me choose gluten free vegetarian.
Honestly, I had low expectations because, well, this is the airport. We ordered orange chicken and firecracker tofu. When we opened our bag, I realized they had given me the firecracker chicken instead of tofu. No problem, I brought it to them and they remade my order right away. Staff moved quickly and efficiently which is all you can ask for at a takeout place at the airport. The food was pretty good too, for what it is. I feel well fed for my flight. Pei Wei is a popular casual Asian restaurant and normally is pretty good. This airport location sits right in the middle of the A gates and shares a dining space with a couple of other restaurants. The people working here were inefficient and disinterested so there was a bit of a wait. Also, this location has a much smaller menu than most Pei Wei’s so there are only a few things here as options.
