this is their new-ish location the Roosevelt District, and it does not compare favorably to the original Chandler space. It's very modern and sterile, interesting separation of the coffee and pastries on opposite sides of the store. I got my order to go and the large latte was good, I might go back for black coffee or just a drip or pour over with cream. I will also get another jalapeno cheese bread loaf that is delicious, expensive but I get the location affects the rent. I will not get another pecan coffee cake and I will be cautious about getting another pastry. The coffee cake is dry, sticks to the paper, and breaks apart just trying to get a piece to eat. And I was there at a little after 10:00 a.m., so the coffee cake should have been fresher. Not my vibe, except for the bread I was not particularly impressed visually with the other baked goods.

Very disappointing! This is their new location downtown phoenix which I was really excited to try considering Peixoto is one of my favorite coffee shops in all of Phoenix. I’ve never had a problem at their chandler location. Starting with my order the barista let me know there was no 8oz americano. I asked her if she could put less water in a 12 oz cup since it’s the same thing. She just kept repeating “we don’t have 8oz. Only 12 and 16.” After a couple more try’s she agreed to do it. When I got my coffee it was over extracted and slightly bitter. I threw it out and walked to Press just down the street. I hope they figure it out because their other locations are some of the best coffee in Phoenix!

One of the best lattes I have ever had! Every pastry looked amazing, and the fruit hand pie and chocolate au pain I tried were marvelous!

Nice design, friendly barista and ok coffee (drip was a little lukewarm when I got it), but the prices tend to be too expensive.
Had a great experience here on Tuesday morning. Found street parking nearby that didn't require feeding the meter. The space itself is airy and welcoming. Tables are big enough for four but there is a nice counter and sofas as well. You could also sit outside on the sidewalk/patio if you wanted. Ordered a macchiato, a cappuccino, and an ube drink from Peixoto then popped over to Chaconne for two ham and cheese croissants and a tomato thyme savory tart. So good! Service was fast...maybe waited ten minutes? for all the drinks. Fantastic addition to that part of downtown PHX. Can't wait to go back!

$8.45 for a 16 ounce iced mocha. That’s all there is to say. Lola is right down the road and over $2 cheaper.
A beautiful new location where time seems to slow down. The vibe is warm and inviting — perfect for relaxing with a great cup of coffee and one of their incredible pastries. You can tell everything is made with care. Thank you for sharing your craft and passion with us.
This place is so cute!!! I’m obsessed 😱
UPDATED: The business reached out to me about my first experience here and invited me to come back, which I appreciate. The service this time around was great, the staff were all so friendly. My drink was delicious and they ensured I liked it before I left, not at all like the first time I was there. My first visit was probably related to staff being in training and it being the busy grand opening. Thank you for the corrective experience, Peixoto - I will be a regular customer!
ORIGINAL: I was very excited for Peixoto to finally have a location in Phoenix, as I’ve always loved my drinks at their other location. I was very disappointed with my first visit here. I ordered two lattes, which was $18 and much pricier than most good coffee shops in the area. Neither of the drinks were good, and we had to come home to fix them ourselves, as one was way too sweet and the other just tasted like milk. The staff were not friendly or helpful and didn’t seem knowledgeable about their menu items. The Chaconne Patisserie pastries we had were very good. They are also expensive and the staff were not correct about what was in the pastries, but at least they were delicious. Next time, I will get a pastry and not coffee here.

Service was friendly but it took a long time to get our coffee. We were told to wait about 5-10 mins for our order to be called but we actually waited 25 which was a bummer since we were in a hurry. The iced mocha coffee with oak milk we got was like $9 for a large too so on the pricier side. It was good overall but may get pastries at Chaćonne and skip the coffee next time, especially if in a hurry and if they seem busy. They have outdoor seating if you have time to stay and drink your coffee.
