I'm just very curious on how they got those awards on best food and other categories. We we tried the food tonight for the first time we are visiting from out of state. Just ordered fish, shrimp & onion rings. Simple. Once my husband got through all the breading on the shrimp which was butterflied and flattened out it was so tiny. The fish had no flavor. The onion rings tasted like they were in the freezer for quite a long time. If they've been in business since 1947, then they've changed something that's not good. The only thing good was the Pepsi.

Ok, fish in the desert makes no sense to me. I've actively avoided Pete's because of that. I WAS WRONG FOR 40 YEARS! DELICIOUS!
Just visited Fish and chips on Apache and rule and let me tell you the service sucks. It took us an hour to get one hamburger don’t go there. It sucks no stars. No sense of urgency to get the food out The food was cold when we finally received it we’re not coming back to this Petes location
I was excited to try this, the prices were very attractive! However, I digress, the shrimp was coated in a heavy cornmeal batter, that’s the only thing I could really taste. Be aware it is not your average butterflied panko crusted shrimp. The cocktail sauce was also mediocre, spicy, but in a strange way, watery as well. More like a spicy ketchup sort with an Asian twist.
