I feel like Arizona is losing a lot of her traditional, family owned, Sonoran Mexican food restaurants, and we are so happy to have found Popo’s. This place is a GEM! We will definitely be returning.

We tried the machaca - which was terrific - green chili - delicious with huge chunks of beef - cheese enchilada, and the queso bean dip. Our taste buds were dancing! So delicious! The salsa is also fresh and flavorful. ENJOY!

I’m 50 years old native to Peoria Az, and have been eating Popo’s religiously for over 35 years and I can promise everyone reading this comment I’ve tried every Mexican restaurant in the valley and can say Popo’s is the best #1 in Az, seasoned to perfection, rice & beans excellent with good flavor refried beans does not have that earthy taste, The red enchilada sauce has a creamy flavor and not tangy has some do, chips & salsa excellent, you won’t be disappointed…….

Always outstanding, try the monster burrito w/Baja sauce(cream chz & jalapeños) about the same price as the rest but I was eating it for 3 days, seriously huge & yummy as well. You can't go wrong here.
