I ordered Alfredo pasta hoping for something comforting, especially because I was dealing with bad menstrual cramps. But the dish was a complete letdown. It was just drenched in butter — no creaminess, no real Alfredo sauce, no flavor. Just greasy and heavy with zero balance.

It felt like there was no effort put into making it right. On a day I really needed a good meal, this just made things worse. Super disappointed. Please work on the quality — especially for something as basic and popular as Alfredo pasta.

I'm 100% Sicilian born and raised in Brooklyn N.Y. I am also a Italian Chef by trade and take pride in my ethnicity and my Cooking. Don't mean to boast but my Cooking skills is far better then most Italian restaurants. I'm 62 and retired however to this very day PEOPLE PAY ME A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MONEY MONTHLY TO MAKE THEM THERE FAVORITES. IT NEVER GETS OLD OR BORING. I'M GIVE ON EGGPLANT PARMESAN AND BEING SICILIAN WE DO NOT BREAD OUR EGGPLANT. IT'S DREDGED IN FLOUR EGG THAT HAS ALL YOUR SPICES garlic, basil, parsley oregano last but not least the most important ingredient would be your imported ROMANO CHEESE ALL IS MIXED INTO YOUR EGG AND IMMEDIATELY FRIED ON TOP OF YOUR STOVE. THIS IS SO YOU GET TO REALLY TASTE THE EGGPLANT INSTEAD OF EATING BREAD CRUMBS. SO I HAVE LEARNED FROM EVERY PAST EXPERIENCE I HAVE WITH GIVING ANOTHER ITALIAN RESTAURANT THE CHANCE TO IMPRESS ME WITH AN EGGPLANT PARMASIAN DISH THAT I WILL HAVE AND THROW AWAY. FOR WHATEVER REASON I TOOK A CHANCE AND PLACED AN ORDER WITH RED DEVIL AND I AM SO GLAD I DID. I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES AND TASTE BUDS. THINKING TO MYSELF, AM J DREAMING OF I DIDN'T KNOW BETTER I WOULD HAVE BET MY LIFE THAT MY FATHER WAS THE ONE WHO PREPARED THAT FOR ME. I WAD OVER THE MOON WITH JOY. EGGPLANT IS NOT SO POPULAR AMONGST AMERICANS AND THE UNITED STATES MOST PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THE TEXTURE AND BOTTOM LINE IS YOU HAVE TO BE RAISED WITH IT IN ORDER TO REALLY WANT AND HAVE TO HAVE IT. SO RED DEVIL YOU ARE TRULY MY HEROES. I LOVED YOUR SAUCE AND NOW I'M OPEN TO TRY OTHER WONDERFUL MENU ITEMS. SO FOR A FOODIE LIKE ME WHO EATS GREAT FOOD NOT FOR HUNGER BUT FOR TASTE YOU OUTSHINE ALL THE ITALIAN RESTAURANTS IN AZ

If you haven’t been there you’re missing out. My Dad would drive from our house (in the rare times they could afford treats like that for a family of 7) from the West valley to the only East McDowell location in the early 60’s when we were kids. He’s been gone for over 30 years, but I took my kids there often and now my grandkids. Their pizza hasn’t changed in over 60 years and to me and my family is still the best, most authentic pizza we’ve ever had. Wings are the best and dinners are good old school Italian. I guess it’s possible that guests that complain may have gone on an off night, and maybe I may have experienced a rare one over the years, but even if so it was still the best. Younger people have come to think chain restaurant pizza is great pizza but it can’t compare. There’s no fancy decor, just a feels like homey nostalgia experience .
I know the original owners have since passed , but the family still respects their traditions and quality.
To all of them, I’d like to say “Thank You” for the decades of memories and great food .

Red Devil has officially become our go-to spot for wings and pizza in the area. The wings are crispy, generously sized, and packed with flavor. We tried the Lemon Pepper and Hot — both were excellent, but the Lemon Pepper stood out with its buttery sauce twist (not just a dry rub like most places).

The pizza is just as impressive — perfectly cooked crust, loaded with quality toppings. We had the white pizza and a meat-lover’s style, and both were delicious with plenty left for the next day. One of the unexpected stars, though? Their blue cheese dressing. No joke, it’s easily in my top 3 across the entire country. Rich, flavorful, and they don’t mess around with tiny portions — they give you a proper size that you can actually enjoy. Pro tip: dip your pizza in it!

We’ll definitely be ordering both wings and pizza from here every time we want take out. Haven’t tried the rest of the menu yet, but based on what we’ve had so far, we definitely will. Highly recommend this spot!
