Reign of Thai is easily the best Thai restaurant in Phoenix. Hosting a take out only experience, it offers some of the most authentic, quality fare you could for. A family owned business the food reflects. I highly recommend the Thai beef jerky, something I haven't seen on other Thai menus.

About 8 years ago I tried Thai for the first time. Robert owned it back then. I walked into the most amazing, fresh buffet. Simply my favorite. New owners never changed the recipe and even added spring rolls. Great Thai food. I tried a few others and hands down. This is my favorite.

This place is a hidden gem, fresh ingredients from Thai land, everything is made fresh the day of except broth, and size of food it proportionate to quality of food. After talking with front rep, she gave me the low down on this spot. They are only open at lunch and close after dinner, so many restaurants were hit after Covid, this one almost dident recover. Finding balance between quality and price is the struggle they found what works for them.

Go-to neighborhood takeout joint. Great food that packs a real punch in the heat department.

We spent $70 for 3 dishes and an appetizer. It looked delicious but was so spicy, we couldn't eat it. We asked for medium spicy. It wasn't medium. It was extra, extra spicy. A waste.

The food has a really good flavor, but it’s a little pricey for the amount of food you get. My entree didn’t have much chicken and I didn’t realize it doesn’t come with rice. I guess you have to pay an extra $3 if you want rice with your meal. The crab puffs were also very tasty but only had about a tsp of filling. I also told them a number 1 on the spice, but it was still pretty spicy. Again, really great flavors and tasted fresh, just wish I would’ve gotten more for my money.

If you can’t stand the heat, stay out the kitchen. They make it very clear what your options are, and if you’ve ever eaten real Thai food, you don’t go for anything above a three. And if they ask you, how about Thai spicy you just say no. If you’re not ready, Thai spicy will rock your world. We had a bunch of stuff. It was all delicious. The only thing I’m sad about is that I waited so long to get in on this action.

I mean what I could eat of it was flavorful but it was so spicy it wasn't even edible. We frequently eat spicy food and will often get 4 or 5 at a place we're familiar with. Ordered a 3 thinking I'd give myself a buffer since I have never eaten here. Did about 5 bites and called it. Wife has far higher spice tolerance than me, she couldn't eat it either.

Their food is great. Highly recommend the fried rice or teriyaki chicken with fried rice made spicy! Good potstickers too. They switched to order to go or delivery only, though you can eat at a table inside. But they were real friendly!

Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and delicious. The stir-fried fresh ginger chicken deserves an award!

This place seems to have lost its way and no longer stands out as it once did. A recurring theme in past reviews is the praise for their Thai buffet, which was unique as the only one in the state. However, during COVID, they understandably made changes and discontinued the buffet. Post-COVID, instead of bringing it back, the restaurant went through various phases and missteps.

Now, they've settled as a counter-service establishment, making them just one of many Thai restaurants in the area, rather than the distinctive option they used to be.

Bring back the buffet, at least for weekend lunch.
