This place was recommended by a friend. The downstairs bar is really cool, the upstairs overall has a nice vibe, little dark, but welcoming. The drinks are excellent but pricey. The service was not up to par with the pricing and vibe of the place. Our server was short and didn't seem to have time for us even though we told her it was our first visit and we were struggling with the menu. She made it a point to tell me that even if I asked for mild, the food could be very spicy...
Second visit, just as good as the first. Complimentary valet is clutch, and just stand there for a minute after you enter. It feels pitch black until your eyes adjust and then it's just cozy. Fantastic cocktails and lovely, very competent people serving.
Call me critical, but after years in the restaurant industry and now as a partner in several restaurant establishments, I notice simple details. I took friends to Rokerij for a birthday celebration. I've been a loyal fan for 20 years and hyped it up as one of my favorite places in town.
