Call me critical, but after years in the restaurant industry and now as a partner in several restaurant establishments, I notice simple details. I took friends to Rokerij for a birthday celebration. I've been a loyal fan for 20 years and hyped it up as one of my favorite places in town. First of all the food and server were outstanding. I was hosting clients for dinner and they loved everything about the atmosphere. The only issue was the lack of staff for the evening. We had to wait for our server who was incredible, for long periods of time because she had a lot of tables to manage. Other than that, everything was amazing and would go back over and over again.
Bummer that the skewers came minus the chicken on both skewers and when we mentioned it to our server she said “we must have run out”. It was 11 am in the morning ~ weird. Usually the Rokerij would just add another piece of one of the other 3 meats so it was really different this visit. Everything else was great as usual.
