We had an overall good experience at Roy's. However we didn't feel like the value was there compared to a lot of other restaurants that we eat at. My husband ordered the butterfish & short ribs that come together. Both were very small portions, for $52 we were disappointed. My meal was the same, small portion and hardly any macadamia nuts on the fish. We have been coming here for years but no longer feel the value is the same as it used to be.

Although we had dined at Roy's in Chandler before they closed during COVID this was our first visit to Roy's at the J.W. Marriott and we're very happy we chose to dine there for our anniversary. Our server Danny was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable about the menu and took very good care of us. Our dinners were delicious and ended with a complimentary dessert to help celebrate our special occasion. We'll return but will request a table outside as long as the evening weather stays so nice. It's beautiful out there and the singer/guitarist was talented and entertaining. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Our best meal of the week in Scottsdale! We had a table outside with lovely temperatures, gentle breeze, birds and kids quietly playing on the lawn. A guitarist played folk style music quietly. Our wine and appetizers came hot and delicious, our dinner of seared tuna with Bok choy and amazing sauces with rice was divine - and sushi grade fresh! For dessert we had homemade coconut ice cream to die for❤️ can't wait to get back!

I'd heard great things about Roy's but only recently had the opportunity to dine there. It was fantastic! The drinks are gorgeous and packed with flavor. The food was perfect and the service was wonderful.

Everything was just perfect. The prices were ridiculous. $19 for 5 each pot stickers and $52 dollars for 7 ounces of butter fish was beyond absurd. Not surprised to learn Roy's is going out of business. There was nothing we could do about the prices after we had parked and were seated. These prices have increased well beyond inflation and we dine here frequently. At least the staff did an outstanding job.

I know their lease ends very soon and I'm very sad about it. I hope they stay somewhere in the valley. They were a fantastic addition to the Marriott at Desert Ridge. We have had many fantastic meals over the years.

Ate dinner outside on patio as the weather was so inviting. Food very good/excellent overall. Had the Poke appetizer, wedge salad and Chilean Sea Bass. All very well prepared and tasty, and service was great, although it wasn't busy around 6pm. This restaurant is closing soon to be replaced by an Asian Fusion restaurant.

We had the opportunity to have dinner at Roy's. The bartender was really helpful on choosing drinks. We had an app to start out. We chose the tuna roll. We ordered the parmesan crusted mahi-mahi. Wow was that a great choice. It was great!!! The service was great and the food great. What else can you ask for?? the audience and this restaurant was very inviting. The people here made the evening great. We thank Roy's for the most wonderful evening. Your the best!!

We were booked for patio and were not told they weren't seating their patio as their heaters weren't working. It would have been nice to know to possibly reschedule. Food was good, mahi mahi was ok.

Roy's was a disappointment to us due to the long delay between courses. Our meal took 2 1/2 hours even though we placed our complete order upon arrival. Our salad came immediately. Our wine came after our salad. Much later, our entrees arrived. We ordered our dessert soufflé with our meal. It arrived 30 to 40 minutes after we finished our meal. Our waiter was personable but wasn't able to get our meal to us in a reasonable time. Perhaps the system of who was to deliver our meal was the problem, but we're guests paying lots, not to manage the restaurant.

We had a wonderful time at Roy's. Everything was fabulous, the food, the company, service and our server Danny was great. By some coincidence he also waited on us last year, (which made it a special evening ) when we were celebrating our in- law's anniversary. They come to AZ every year and we always choose Roy's for our yearly dinner. We are so sad to find out that this Roy's location is closing soon. We really hope that they'll reopen somewhere else in The Valley.

The Parmesan crusted sea bass was very small, cold and had very little Parmesan crust. The asparagus that came with it were stems only and cold as well. This was $62.00 My wife ordered the special that was a plate with a jumbled mass of fish over cold rice for $66.00. Not worth the money! We plan on not returning.

We sat at the bar to order a dessert and after-dinner drink – it was good but I will say the service was fairly slow as it took 45 minutes to receive it even though it would take 20 minutes to prepare it for us (it wasn’t crowded at all).

We ate here 2 nights in a row, even though we were not guests in the hotel. Such great service from Cole on the 1st night & Rachel on our second visit. Real professional servers who know the menu, check back frequently & take great care for their customers. Seafood was fresh & the kitchen was 10 Stars both nights. Chef Marco really made dinner delish!

Had Cole as our waiter, celebrating friend's 94th birthday and he made it memorable and happy! It was too cold to eat at reserved outside table, and having health issue that prevents me from avoiding crowded indoor restaurants, Cole got us a table away from guests that made me feel comfortable enough to move indoors. Great service and food and a happy memory for our friend!
