The food is outstanding and the service amazing. The dining area was clean and spacious. I showed up at an an usual eating time and there were only a few people present.
Every time I order to go here they always forget something I swear thus place rips their clients off every day on to go orders. They forgot my kids 2 juices again how do u forget the to put 2 juices in an order . Never returning
$17+ for this tiny salad and a medium drink!? Never going to Rubios again! I can get twice as much for half as much from Chipotle.
Food tasted fine but what I ordered was prepared as a large layer of iceberg lettuce 2 inches thick with a layer on top of the the ingredients you like about a half inch thick: tiny amount of chicken, peppers, tortilla chip pieces, corn etc. If you took the actual food (Everything but the iceberg lettuce ) from the meal and put it in a cup it would be 4 ounces of food. Not a good value for 14 bucks. Maybe I caught them on a day when they were running out of ingredients.
I’ve been to plenty of Rubio’s locations and they’ve always been on point — fast, friendly, and consistent. Unfortunately, the Rubio’s off Tatum and Bell Rd. seems to have missed that memo.
Apparently, wrapping a burrito here is considered an advanced skill, because mine looked like it survived a wrestling match. The person taking my order had the energy of a dial tone, and the dining area? Let’s just say “sticky tables and mystery crumbs” were the theme of the day.
If you’re looking for a place to practice patience — and lower your expectations — this might be the spot. Otherwise, I’ll be avoiding this location next time I’m in the area.
Ordered a Mexican street corn bowl substitute guacamole for sliced avocado with extra lettuce for my wife who was working at a hospital near there. We love that bowl. Then she text me there was absolutely no lettuce, upsetting because the crunch of the lettuce makes the bowl. Disappointed this time
Waited 15 mins for a grilled shrimp chopped salad. Only got 6 pcs. of shrimp in a large bowl. Paid $13 for basically a green chopped salad. Will not be going back.
I'm upset I spent $20 for my food not to be cooked and prepped well. Was missing sauce initially. Would not recommend the hot honey shrimp bowl. Not worth it at all! Stick with what you know here cause the cooks did not do a good job.
This location needs better management. Gross Salsa area that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Lemons and other items from the bar had fallen into all the different salsa's which I'm sure is hard to avoid but maybe check it every once and while. Looks like Rubio's also got hit with shrinkflation. The bowl is way smaller now and they charge just as much. I still like the food but it will be on a rare occasion I come back now. Final note, pay your employees better rubio's. You charge restaurant prices and are still asking for tips when the service is just not there.

Just the typical Rubio's nothing over the top nothing below my expectations below my expectations
Food was fine and tasted fresh (beer-battered shrimp plate). However, after I left a tip for a to-go order, they then wanted to charge me 85 cents for 2 tablespoons of crema. Ummm, no. And the guy at the counter asked me if I was there to pick up literally five minutes after ringing me up. Re: atmosphere- it was FREEZING in there and only 66 outside at the time.
Bean burrito: did not warm the tortilla and melt the cheese like they are supposed to. Tortilla does not roll when cold. All this for $9 which is the most expensive counter server burrito you can buy. For how much workers are paid they should make the burrito correctly. Second is the fish taco used to be good and meaty. Now all breading and almost no fish. So sad I liked Rubio's.
Sean the “team leader” treated us horribly. I usually don’t write reviews but the experience my girlfriend and I was so bad I thought it would only be appropriate to let everyone know how bad of service Sean provides. He let out 2 very annoyed sighs with eye rolls when we told him we would wait for the “25 minute wait”. since being here for about a half hour we have seen 4 customers walk out the door due to his terrible attitude and customer service. I hope upper management realizes the severity of the poor customer service he is providing to Rubio’s customers.
normally I go to this location and the food is OK but today how could you mess up national Fish taco day? I got 4 fish tacos and I cannot eat them. I mean luckily only paid $.99 a taco but the fish was not edible. The tacos didn’t even have fish and there was just the batter. Please get it together. Stop being lazy and cook the fish.
