This is a great restaurant in a great location.
We got here right after they opened and they were already extremely busy.
But we didn't have to wait long. The menu has some really good options. For the appetizer I got fried rattlesnake and prickly pear cactus fries which were great.
The rattlesnake with fried perfectly and was very crispy and flavorful. The prickly paraphrase were thin, and perfectly crispy.
And for the main dinner, I got the cowboy platter which was huge. The brisket, the ribs, the sausage and the chicken were all cooked perfectly and very flavorful.

Overall if you're looking for a great restaurant with great food, great atmosphere and great views, this is the best place to go.

Parking: The parking lot is huge but it does fill up really quick once they open.

Kid-friendliness: Definitely a good place to bring kids.
When you go down into the dining area, there is a slide and kids love it and they will line up and wait to go over and over again.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair accessible ramp off to the side near the main entrance.

it was okay. i felt bad for the live cow in front of the restaurant, barely has any space. the atmosphere is a bit overstimulating with a ton of stuff going on at once. the food portions are HUGE, but tables are kind of small. service was great though and view is amazing.

We went to this restaurant last week for our daughter's birthday. From our experience, it is only interesting to go to once for the interesting building and decorations... the band was also nice. The food was not that impressive... I ordered ribs that were all dried out, had to use a steak knife to saw at it to pull it apart and it was drenched in sauce only on the top- the sauce greatly overpowers any taste of the actual ribs. I only ate a couple of them and gave up on the rest. The steaks that others had seemed fairly decent. It was a birthday meal, which I told them on a 'call-ahead' note, also at the front desk, and again to our server- but apparently, this place refused to do anything for a birthday, like sing the song, unless you pay an extra $20+ for this service... which I may have been willing to pay, but no one even bothered to tell us about...I paid for a dessert which was good, but thought it odd that other tables had the staff sing and we got nothing. The server said that we got 'complimentary cotton candy' but then didn't even bring it... odd. The server wasn't trained on sales and service- she was a nice person but untrained or supervised properly. Frankly, the only really friendly person was the balloon-maker that came around- she was terrific and should be training the rest of the staff on customer service. In sum- maybe go once for the decorations/band, but the food or service isn't compelling enough to return.

I used to come to Rustler’s Rooste for birthdays and graduations quite frequently and I have fond memories of those experiences. However, tonight showed how much it’s changed since we last went a few years ago.

We saw on Google that they offered take out(see added picture). When we called to place this order the girl told us they were dine in only. It would be great if the business could update this so others don’t have the same thing happen to them.

So we talked it over and decided to call back and get a reservation/call ahead seating. Note that when we first called it sent us to an automated message where it told us to stay on the line to make a reservation. Their website also states they have call ahead seating for parties 7 or less and reservations for 8 or more(also pictured). When we asked to be placed on the list for 3 people tonight the girl said they were walk in only. Ok… so we go to restaurant and the first thing the hostess asked is if we called ahead… so I say “we tried but we were told we couldn’t.” Luckily we did get seated right away - but what a bizarre experience. It doesn’t seem like everyone is on the same page and understands the policies very well.

We got waters right away, ordered as soon as our server stopped by a minute or so later. We ordered the nachos with brisket, the 10oz sirloin, the big burger and a side of the cheesy jalapeño bacon macaroni. Food was very quick to come out! Unfortunately, our server forgot to ring in the nachos. We pointed it out and just asked we not get them at this point and he apologized.

We loved the onion rings that came with the burger, and the sweet potatoes and corn that came with the steak. The jalapeño macaroni and the burger was also great. The steak was cooked to medium correctly, but the taste was bland and rubbery.

We ate for about 15 minutes and then proceeded to wait a little over 30 minutes for our server to come back to bring us boxes and the check. No water refills, and he only checked in on us once within the first five minutes of getting our food.

Everything about our dining experience tonight felt off - hopefully this isn’t a typical experience for most people. I don’t think we’ll be back for a good while.

Made reservations for Christmas Dinner. Drove over an hour for a nice, stress free meal. There was a limited menu which was expected due to it being Christmas. Salad came out with no dressing, we asked for some and our server told us there was already dressing on the salad. There definitely was not. Asked her again, and got an attitude but she brought it out. Food arrived before we got much of the salad down. Husband got the ribeye very under cooked, cold dry mashed potatoes. Seemed like they smashed a couple baked potatoes and called it good. Tried adding butter to them but wouldn't melt. I had the turkey meal and ate a few bites. Cold gravy, cold turkey. Same dry potatoes. Not even kidding, brought my plate home and my dogs wouldn't eat it. $120 meal and was trash. Lesson learned.
