Rustlers Rooste is awesome. Amazing atmosphere, food, live music, all with a great view of the south valley. All the guides and reviews are right. There's even a real longhorn steer right at the entrance.
My first visit so I was in awe, my family's second and although they had a poor server they wanted me to experience the atmosphere. When I shared a picture from our table a nice that hasn't lived in Phoenix for years recognized the place and was thrilled to know it's open. A band started as we exited would love to have enjoyed.
It was a good experience, Westerny and great views. Not too many choices, but overall good. Tried a lot and overall good, takeaways:
Bread & biscuits, as well as salad, were served before ordering, which was nice.
Rattlesnake and cactus frys - glad I tried once but not my thing. Rattlesnake tasted like chicken but a bit more chewy. Cactus frys were good, crunchy with a bit of sourness.
The burger - big and cooked up exactly how I preferred. Onion...
