Always a good experience. Staff are courteous. Bakery has a wonderful selection of fresh breads. Nice uncluttered isles. Well stocked shelves as well. Glad they always have regular cashiers when available.

The issues with this store involve two employees: Mary (who I think is a manager or something) and the older Hispanic woman who works at the deli with red glasses (didn’t catch her name).

Mary has poor customer service skills. She never looks happy and loves to ignore customers. I know some customers are rude and can be annoying, but that does not mean every customer walking into the store is similar.
On June 15, 2024 I had walked up to guest services to ask if the bathroom was locked because my 9 year old nephew had to go use the bathroom. Mary was standing up there, digging through papers. My nephew and I stood there for a minute, expecting her to look up. She did and she just ignored us and continued digging through papers…I finally had to say “Excuse me!” This prompted her to look up and I asked if the bathrooms were locked. She replied “Yes. They are locked.” in a horrible tone. My nephew and I stood there. And I said “Well can someone open them? My nephew has to go potty.” And she replied, in a snappy attitude “Yes. I will tell them to open them.”
Very horrible and disgusting way to treat loyal customers who have been coming to this store since 2010-ish.
From all the times I’ve been there, Mary always looked unhappy and I always avoided talking to her or approaching her for help. The district manager needs to fire Mary if she’s tired of her job because with those new homes and new customers coming in, this will deter them away from attending this establishment.

The other employee, whose name I am unaware of, is the older Hispanic lady who works at the deli. Short and thin, wears red glasses, and likes to smoke out in front of the store. This employee is also unprofessional, has horrible customer service skills, and possibly needs to retake a food handlers certification. On multiple accounts she has always been rude and mean. Never looks happy, always talking down on customers, and purposely ignoring customers who are awaiting service for deli items.
On one occasion, she was sneezing and coughing all over the place. Sneezed and coughed on the deli meat slicers, in which she had a block of cheese on one. This is very disgusting because it’s not sanitary, unsafe, and failing the codes for protecting customers from possibly bacterial or viral illnesses.
On that same occasion, she was washing pans in the back and was dropping them on the floor and causing an inhospitable nature of the area. It was like we were impeding on her space.

These are some of the issues I have with the store. Otherwise, I really like all the other employees. They’re very helpful and smiling. I just hope corporate or the district/regional managers come across this review and take this seriously.

Once these issues are addressed and fixed, I will consider changing my rating. Until then, it will remain at 1 star.

Have been going to this safeway location for a while now and love the prices and costumer service with the grocery store. As for the starbucks inside love there merchandise but there costumer service is terrible, the little short manager was more upset with costumers not Tipping. The male working with her gave the most terrible attitude with the myself along with the costumer in front of me. We paid with card. So warning if by chance you don't tip they will give poor service. Sorry starbucks in safeway not everyone can tip all the time....

My favorite grocery store in the neighborhood to shop at in person, but a horrible experience for the grocery pickup. I only ordered 10 items and 2 were missing. That's literally 20% of my order missing. I processed a refund for one missing thing in the app but couldn't do the second item and I had to go through the whole customer service chat rigamarole to get my second item refunded. Then I had to drive to another store to get my missing items. I ended spending another thirty minutes dealing with getting my money back and going to another store, all after paying an extra $4 fee for the pickup order.

Fine store but DON'T DO GROCERY PICKUP. You'll regret it.

Bakery has the worst experience in customer service not only do they not answer their phone supposedly you have to order 2 weeks in advance. Just answer your phones so we don't waste our time with low standards of customer service.

Clean store. The chicken tenders are the best out of any grocery store chain here. The rotini pasta salad is also fantastic. Will always go out of my way to a Safeway when wanting fried chicken or pasta salad because the quality is better. Employees were attentive and courteous.

Very friendly place, I want it there to grab a couple things they had a little sale going on so I went and picked up some items the staffing is very nice polite they said to me good morning and did I need any help finding anything and I said no I knew everything was. Very nice place to shop at! ?

The.veg and fruit, still leaves alot to the imagination. Cashiers are friendly. Had to wait awhile in deli while attendant talked with other employees, kept asking me same questions about my order ?

8:30 am early but a couple of things could of been better, no Sprite in stocks and man was there then stocking and didn't really seem to care at that time. Checker only one and register was inop, had to wait 4 to 5 minutes for it to finish and function properly, folks not happy and I was in a hurry. Most of the time everything is always going a 100%. Thank you ?. I was back at the store today. More checkers and things seemed better. I hope and think this may of been a bad day. The way it is this is a store that is intended better. Good place to shop. Thank you ?
