I called today to see if they had cheese cakes the young girl that helped me was very nice what she didn't know she asked someone for info. Not like Costco bakery in Avondale. the young girl had no time to answer questions

My neighborhood Safeway for 22 years. Yesterday, they let me down. I want to spend my time & money in places I’m safe, free from harassment and hate speech. Safeway may not be that place! After a man looks me dead in the eyes and says “It’s a shame. All these __gg__ts running around.” I’m not sure if he was calling me out or looking to me to validate his statement. Regardless, I was offended and immediately went to get a store manager to address the situation. Both managers were “on register.” When I asked if one could “step off register” and address my concerns over what was happening in their store. I was told “It happens.” When I saw the man in the check out line, I started a video and called him out. No managers showed up. I did file a customer service complaint last night. At the time of this posting, there has been no response.

I will NEVER shop at Safeway (near 7th Street and Osborn) ever again! EVER!! Last week I ordered groceries online like I have many times before and I thought that everything had gone smoothly until I found out some halfwit put an additional $200 from my account on hold!! It’s normally $1 and is supposed to be returned within 3 business days. So, my bank has been trying to get my money back and it was “supposed” to have happened by today. Well it hasn’t, and now this piece of garbage grocery chain is trying to SLIME it’s overpriced way out of returning MY money! Money that they STOLE from my account! I hope everyone sees this message and shares it because I don’t think anyone should be robbed when feeding their family! Great way to thank a customer that spends over $1K a month in your stores!

Safeway on 7th Ave/McDowell isn't sanitizing Cart's, or cleaning. The checkout line is disgusting! I told the clerk and he did nothing! I told the Manager and he said "Well someone is supposed to be outside cleaning cart's" My neighbor was there earlier in the day, she said no one was outside cleaning cart's.

No requirement that CUSTOMERS wear masks.

Safeway told it's employees that if they feel uncomfortable about being at work because of the Coronavirus that they can stay home but they won't get paid and they will lose their insurance, also that if you go home sick, you will have to use YOUR OWN SICK LEAVE....This is absolutely disgusting

They were very friendly today and except for paper towels and the meat section being picked over the rest was stocked and the lines were manageable. Why are people going nuts over paper products??

Staff not friendly and store not organized!

This store is always under staffed and it’s small, so they have a poor selection of items.

Worst Safeway! I will never shop at this store again! You're bombarded with pan handler's, tweekers, druggies begging for money, at your car, at the entrance and when you leave! We told the store manager and assistant manager and they do absolutely nothing! This store is definitely not safe for elderly, people with children, and women! They'd rather loose customers, then keep it safe! Shame on you Safeway!

I wasn't super pleased with the grocery store I don't typically shop at Safeway.I tried two different shopping carts and both of them were broken so I ended up going with the third. I get to the register and being a new member trying to get a card is typically just hand it to you and this situation they told me that they couldn't do it and then I have to go to customer service after I'd already had all my items scanned and ready to check out.it feels like they're punishing people that are not members.and trying to extort us for the extra little bit of money we could have saved.I probably won't go back to Safeway
