This is hands down the best sushi I have ever eaten. The sake selection is amazing. Can't wait to come back.

This place was okay. Let's start positives, the atmosphere is nice, dimly lit with beautiful art on the walls. The drinks (lychee margarita and crimes of passion) were delicious! Highly recommend the drinks. Now for the negatives, the sushi fish was high quality however the hard sushi rice is what killed it for me. The menu is mainly sushi so it was disappointing considering their prices.

I was actually incredibly excited to visit this place, and was severely extremely disappointed. From the moment me, and my friend arrived, the host, standing outside, was very awkward, and gave me a really disgusting look when I asked if they had a table for 2.I went at 4pm on a Wednesday. I got the feeling of racism without a word being said. The server went to the menu way too fast. They take the time to explain things to you, but you have absolutely no time to digest everything that they’re saying from the specials to the signature dishes. The entire process felt rushed and rehearsed. To top it off I look 40 years old and I was still carded for a cocktail.Maybe I caught them on an off day or maybe you just have to be Caucasian to eat here but I did not like it one way or the other .

The minutes to midnight is a lovely take on an espresso martini. The miso soup had a lovely umami flavor and enoki mushrooms, wasn’t too salty and tasted delicious. The chili edamame are the best I’ve ever had, slightly sweet with a not so subtle kick and a smoky finish. The tuna two way roll is smooth with a tuna fillet on top that perfectly complements the spicy tuna inside the roll. You can taste the cucumber and the cilantro, with the avocado supplying a wonderful texture. The Ronin roll was fabulous, smoky eel on top with a crunchy candy like crunch from the charred teriyaki crust but not too sweet. Service was impeccable, I had barely noticed the plate was empty, and they were already coming by to subtlely sweep it out of sight. Phenomenal drinks, amazing service, one of a kind food. I hope they can keep up what they’ve created. So many places around Phoenix have snobby servers and have nowhere near the same quality of food that this place has. The service staff was so kind and welcoming.

Great service, great ambiance, food was good. I highly recommend the waygu fat gyoza. My one gripe- Some of the rolls and nigiri come with a light torch over the top of the roll I wasn’t fond of. Gave off a strong butane taste to an otherwise delicious cut of sushi grade seafood. To the Chefs- This is caused by the torch either on too low, or flame too close to the meat. I hope adjustments are made, because otherwise everything was spectacular!
