Uniformly mid (food). Great selection, great service, and atmosphere. Good experience overall. Got my green tea ice cream so I'm straight.

We have been going here for years and the food is fantastic. Some of the best sushi in Tucson. And while it isn't cheap, the prices of basic rolls are reasonable.
However the service is atrocious if you go when it is busy, especially since they expanded. For some reason you don't seem to have a dedicated server which causes all sorts of problems. On multiple occasions we have gone 45-60 minutes without anyone coming to ask if we wanted drinks or needed anything, before we had even received food, or after we had only received an item or two. Just the other day, it took over an hour between 2 of the folks in our party receiving their meals, and the other folks receiving their food, with no check in of any kind or communication. Meaning some folks had their meal an hour early from other folks. Someone should have at least come by over an hour to tell us our food was late and offer to refill drinks, and no one was even available to flag down the staff were so busy. Once our food finally came, we were still missing two items both which took 15 more minutes each to come out. Then after 30 minutes from eating we had to flag someone down to pay. Overall we had 4 different servers from start to finish, over the course of two hours. This is unfortunate since the servers are generally friendly.
You all need to switch to DEDICATED servers, hire 1-2 more service folks, and have a dedicated front of the house host or hostess!
The idea of "everyone helps everyone's tables" type of service does not work here and needs to end. It leads to terribly inconsistent service, and no communication. the server / the kitchen staff also need to make sure timing for meals for the same table come out together. You absolutely cannot have some meals coming out a whole hour before other folks meals.
I'll give this place one more chance, but I don't think I will come back if something like this happens again.

Are service was okay, she seemed overwhelmed. When came right at the beginning of dinner time. But she tried to make things right after a miss order mistake.
Vegetarian options: I liked the large booths, we hand a fairly large family.
Dietary restrictions: Not sure.
Parking: The food was tasty.
Kid-friendliness: We had kids, they have no kids menu.
Wheelchair accessibility: I think so.

We made a quick search nearby Ikea for sushi and decided on Sakura Sushi. This was our first and last visit.
I will start this off by saying they had the best wasabi we have ever had. It was freshly prepared, electric green, and very hot. This is why they earned the first star. I really want to have this every time I ever have sushi again!
Sadly, it just isn't enough to want us to come back.
The second star is for the speedy service. They were down right fast at getting our order to us. Different people quickly dropping off our items as they were able. This is where the stars stopped.
They can make a California Roll, nothing special there. But the cucumber in our rolls is usually julienned, this was round and spiral cut. It was small but just different, not traditional, not what we are used to.
Their Tuna Roll was not rolled tightly and the nori didn't finish completely around, allowing the rice and tuna to fall right out. On that particular roll the nori was really tough as well, again, not what we are used.
Finally, the big issue. The Vegas Roll. We've had dozens of these at different places over the years, so we know that they are fried and what to expect.
This was the first Vegas Roll to ever have completely cooked salmon inside of it, I mean dry, all the way cooked salmon. And the worst part was the amount of breading and oil on it. It wasn't like a lightly Panko breaded, well strained, shrimp tempura and we don't expect that but this was just unedible. We were hungry and ate the inside, leaving the oily, soggy, thick outer shell on the plate.
They weren't too busy and our waitress stopped by near the end of our meal and poured us another huge glass of iced green tea without asking if we wanted it.
That's when we asked for the bill, paid and left. It wasn't worth the trouble to complain about the whole experience and the total check amount was actually modest. So, we paid and left.
If you are looking for cheap and fast sushi, go for it!
If you want quality over quantity, go somewhere else.

Got take-out, wife enjoyed her love on the beach sushi roll. Edamame was large portion, but unsalted. Seaweed salad was also a good portion but bland. Apps were overall good - shrimp, pot stickers, egg roll. Majority of my sashimi was ok, I think it was the red snapper was a little extra rubbery / chewy. Maybe better dine-in experience. Reasonably priced compared to other sushi spots.

Food is meh but its cheap and unlimited. Ice cream is also included in that unlimited price and is great.
Volcano roll was great, Philadelphia was good, Las Vegas was also good. Rest I tried is meh.

I am absolutely disappointed in how expensive this spot got. I used to come here when it was $12 for lunch. I went the other week with a friend for the two of us with lunch, and 2 sodas was $57. I was absolutely blown away. I'm sorry because I loved coming here but I can't afford it anymore. I used to travel a far distance too. What a shame

Service was good but the food wasn’t. Sushi rolls were bland and the beef udon didn’t consist of much, the beef was small and cooked to death. The spicy tuna roll wasn’t spicy and it tasted like refrigerator.

Just ordered their chicken fried rice. Didn’t expect for an Asian restaurant to screw up fried rice, but what small ounce of taste this dish had was abysmal. Inedible. And disappointing.
First time trying this place and the last. Unfortunately all fish in our sushi/sashimi had that “fishy” taste. The one where either “the fish wasn’t cleaned properly “ or “it’s going bad” taste.
Won’t be come back or recommending.

Friendly service and the atmosphere was casual. The sushi 🍣 was fresh and a good place to grab something on New Year's Day. Thanks to Sakura for being open on New Year's Day.

For an all you can eat sushi place, this place rocks. The sushi is not bad my any means, but don’t expect high end sushi. Our server wasn’t able to explain how things worked.

My husband took myself and my daughter and her boyfriend. The waitress was very short with us borderline rude, she wouldn't give a complete answer to anything that I asked about the menu. Apparently (and I've never seen anything like this before) This place has rules, even though it's all you can eat. You can pay $29 per person for the app you can eat or do ala carte. Keep in mind, no prices are listed on the menu. The waitress let us know that if we didn't finish something that we ordered we would be charged additionally for it. It's like, what if I ordered something that I just didn't like?.... Anyway, we are not big eaters, the food was delicious, but we only each only ordered one roll, Bill came and it was $166. I told the waitress since we only ate one roll each would they charge us ala carte. Manager came over and let us know that once you choose ala carte or the all you can eat when you walk in, they will not change it. I could go to Sprouts
and get 4 delicious rolls for $40!... They have a two hour maximum time to sit there, which is not unreasonable, but to me, the rest was unreasonable. The food was delicious, but know what you are walking into. Wish I would have.

I find it very hard to believe anyone is leaving a 5, star review for this place. I ordered 3 rolls for take out. Just the smell of the bag had me suspicious then I tried a piece. Oh my god no just no. Zero flavor. The fish is mush and warm and bland and just gross. I still feel sick to my stomach. Disgusting. Never again.
