DRY, SMALL PORTION, rice/bean is EXTRA charge. Took way too long just for this. This is the Al Pastor Tacos, $20 ( ordered rice on the side which was extra charge, 3 spoon of dry bland rice)Doesn't offer free Tortilla chips & Salsa for the table , that's FINE, but we paid extra money for the most bland salsa ever. Salsa tasted like chunky red salted water, the chip isn't fresh from fryer, not salted no flavour, some pieces were very stale. Waiter was so nice though! :) Would never come back, I rather drive to central Phx for cheaper Tacos and actually tasty or just Toca Madera for some fusion Tacos.

I would never recommend this place to anyone except to shut it down. I just got food poisoning from their nachos with pork. Now the rest of my day is ruined because I cannot leave my hotel. 3 people, 100 dollars later and couldn't even get the margarita flight because they only have 5 sets of glasses for flights. I mean you are at westgate and should have more glasses than that. Took forever just to get water. Birds were flying over top of us while eating. so terrible. I miss Margaritaville.

Friendly, fast, filling, and so so good! I only wish we had one of these in Salt Lake City because it was some of the best Tex Mex I have had and I would eat there weekly if I were closer! They had great options for kids and even my sister - who is the pickiest of eaters. We all left full and happy. And the service was so friendly. Highly recommend.

The food was okay. I was just expecting more spice and flavor. The atmosphere was great along with the service!

Two things: 1. Tacos were really good. 2. The service negates how great the tacos were. Margaritas were too sweet and tasted like a heavy syrup. Our server forgot about us twice. Honestly, when we walked in, the manager looked at us with wild eyes, picked up menus, and said "We will seat you as soon as she comes back. Where is she? Where did she go?" His anxiety about the hostess leaving to seat others before us was palpable and I'm sure it's not easy to deal with that sort of management. Not sure if the chicken or the egg came first there, but either way, we won't be returning.

Food: we only got chips and salsa and it was fine, not very flavorful. Took 20 min just for this to come outService: we sat at the bar, it wasn't busy at all, and it took me going to the host and asking her to ask the bartender to tend to us because we were not even looked at or acknowledged. When the bartender finally came over he was great Drinks: they were fine, I got the skinny marg and frozen marg and nothing special. The skinny marg was very sweet and I couldn't taste the alcoholAmbiance: had the games on which I enjoyed but honestly wouldn't come back

PERFECT FOR THE SCENARIOWhere to go for dinner close to family members' new house? After some discussion of the options, we chose SALT. Since I always try to find family owned Mexican restaurants, this was a very different experience that took some readjustment of expectations. The first readjustment was the decor. This is not the familiar eclectic collection of homy Mexican items, but theme very focused on sugar skull. The contrast of to what I expected gave me an internal chuckle. Down to the logo cut into the black metal chair backs, the attention to detail says something about this being a professionally designed restaurant.Alexie is a great server! It makes me wonder whether the management has a great training program, besides choosing servers with personality. Not only did she check back frequently and make appropriate suggestions, but she knew quite a lot about the restaurant itself. The food was unanimously declared excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that the refried beans had a bit of heat, which I had to share around for a taste. The side of Spanish rice had a little more tomato than I prefer, but I had no problem finishing it off. And, the meat in the tacos seemed like it had simmered for hours to develop the flavor. There were mentions all around about coming back for Taco Tuesday. If I had to pick one thing to change, it would be that the cheap go containers Styrofoam were incongruous to the care taken with the rest of the restaurant. Instead of having a nice little branded container in the refrigerator, I transferred the leftovers to another sealable container.

This is my first time at their Norterra location, I've been to their location at San Tan Village. The decor is your typical sugar skull decor; bright and vibrant. The dining room seating area is of average size. The bar seating is decent. On Saturdays & Sundays their is a brunch menu until 2p.m. I decided to order the Silver Paloma, while I was waiting for my friend. It was one of the best Palomas I've ever tasted. The drink had a mild sweetness it made it really refreshing. When my friend arrived she ordered a Bloody Mary and thought it was good but needed an extra punch. We ordered our brunch I chose the chilaquiles with barbacoa and soft scrambled eggs and my friend chose the breakfast burrito with sausage and bacon with a side of salsa. It took awhile for our food to arrive. The presentation was great on the surface. Upon eating and a bit of examination I received a big bowl of chips with a couple of overcooked eggs and a couple pieces of meat; it was disappointing. My friend's breakfast burrito's appearance was very unappealing. There was no char to the tortilla, it looked store bought. She was happy that she ordered the side of salsa, the burrito was dry on the inside. I would probably come back to give this place another try and order order something different, but it's pretty far to come for a 50/50 experience.

My favorite time to do this is brunch starting Saturday or Sunday at 10:00 a.m. We do a sweet and savory combination like the pineapple cherry waffles and then a chicken tinga bowl. Top this off with amazing service from Anthony.

Came here on a Monday night, it was slow. The food took about an hour to arrive. My four year old child ordered chicken strips and after she began to eat them, We noticed they were raw!
