SANITARY HAZARD: Guy wearing all black, shades and a black Lagunitas ball cap used the area where straws, condiments and silverware as the work area for the cleaning supplies, including a square red bucket with nasty dark water that he placed right in front of the straw dispenser! I moved it out the way and he put it right back there. This was today, December 31st, 3024.
Maybe that is how he was raised, but this is a restaurant in a popular attraction.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see this place in the news for a hepatitis outbreak sometime soon.
Just gross.

30+ minute wait for expensive fast food, flavorless pretzels, crowded place. Avoid.

The food at the aquarium was phenomenal. This meal was very sad in comparison. Actually it was sad generally. It’s not the 1990s anymore. Zoo food doesn’t have to be crap. Get a headchef and do something positive with this space. This meal cost $30
The food is impressively small for the price you pay. $14.50 for a bacon cheeseburger that is smaller than basic options at fast food restaurants. The taste is definitely only ok, and worse than I expected for something that calls itself a grill. As a person with allergies, the allergen warning was very generic and staff had no idea what foods had what allergens.
Dietary restrictions: Very unclear what each food has.

all the food is pretty expensive, but service was quick and the interior of the eating area is decorated well.
I get that we’re going to pay high markup at places like this, but you’d at least think they’d serve something other than cafeteria food and have halfway decent service. They consistently get order wrong and the food is awful to begin with. Their “jumbo” hotdogs are literally the smallest size hotdogs on the market. The Phoenix Zoo really needs another option for food—it’s genuinely a deterrent to us even coming to the zoo at all because we don’t want to get food here and everything else is out of the way

Vegetarian options: They have a veggie burger with a vegan mayo and no cheese, but that is the only option. So, clearly labeled and I'm happy they have the option, but it is the only option.
Kid-friendliness: Good kid menu options, prices reflect zoo pricing, of course.

The cheeseburgers are so delicious. The best I’ve ever had to be honest.

I like the restaurant and I did not plan to spend some time and enjoy their food and atmosphere. Maybe next time!

Casual dining option at Phoenix Zoo. Order at the counter, pick up when called. Burgers and chicken fingers are your main menu items. It’s zoo food, so expect a mediocre tasting meal. Pricy for what you get, but again to be expected at an attraction.
Service could use a little work. MUST have chicken nuggets before you can ask for ranch or BBQ .

Not bad. Overpriced but that's zoo food for you. I had the savannah burger and it was surprisingly alright. Service was at least fast. All of the children's oriented food is absurdly priced though ($5 for a small bag of goldfish, $17 animal drinks, $10 kettle corn, etc...)

Savanna Burger and fries are the best!
I love the meat they use in the hamburger patties. Very tasty.
Vegetarian options: Great french fries...
Kid-friendliness: Great kids meal with fruit..I wished they served more fruits and veggies sticks for kids and older adults.
