I worked my way through college over 45 years ago in a specialty butcher shop. I was tasked with doing a few pickups around town, which included picking up sausages, franks and knockwurst from a local shop. I still remember picking up from Schreiner's back in the '70s, pulling right up to the front of the building to load up the order.
