Their name (« without death ») is the definition of false advertising since they are not even vegan and therefore far from sin muerte, perpetuating misconceptions at the heart of the problem. That said, vegan options were ok though nothing spectacular, portions small/not filling but with a fancy presentation though at a fancier price. Sorry not sorry about their closing. Glad they had vegan options but don’t pretend you’re doing something you’re not.

Great food. A little expensive but the overall experience was worth it. Just unfortunate they are closing down after only a short while. Such a loss.

Very cool (dark and moody) decor, excellent guidance and service from Isis and Mark, really tasty food, comfortable seating (a rarity these days) and the music wasn't blaring (also for a change). Next time I'll try one of the innovative cocktails and a few other menu items. In other words, will go back!!

Moody restaurant & bar with vegetarian menu. Service was amazing. We had spicy margaritas with dehydrated citrus salted rim. Concept is food near the 37th(?) latitude line with Mediterranean flare. Stopped in for Sunday afternoon drinks & had the Hummus & Cherry Tomato Pico with Naan bread. It was very good. Pasta from local supplier Sonoran Pasta Co. Great date night place and nice patio for when it gets cooler out. Just south of Churchill.

Was so enthralled with the food and experience here that I forgot to take a picture of the delicious food until it was almost all gone. The Chili Cantaloupe Dish was a highlight, though it's honestly hard to pick just one. The Pita was also stellar. Some of their drinks have honey so check the menu or double check with your server but most are vegan and delicious!

This place is AMAZING!!! Augusta was very attentive but she never hovered. Very knowledgeable about the menu and her recommendations were spot on. The food was spectacular. It's normally hard to find a cocktail my wife and I both like but the NOTORIOUS F.I.G satisfied her ‘sweet' tooth and my ‘sour' tooth. It has become an instant favorite!!!

Would have loved to see a more diverse vegetarian menu. Service was slow and disorganized. Cocktails were very inconsistent. Got extremely dark in the 3 hours it took us to finally get our check. Was hard to hear our server and each other at the table. I don't think I'll go back.

Happened to walk in after a heavy happy hour not too far from here. I was curious, since it’s fairly still new-ish. Yes, it was empty when I arrived, so I was immediately seated by a very friendly young lady. Starting off, the service and attention was great.Once our drinks came, being that a larger group had arrived at the same time, took a bit longer but it was worth the wait. Our drinks were absolutely delicious—not too sweet…just right. Our appetizer was full of flavor, our food was delicious. Of course, even aesthetically pleasing but all of our dishes were incredible. Keep in mind, this is a vegetarian and vegan joint; which I’m not even remotely close to being vegetarian. And even then, I will definitely be returning here. Not just because the food and drinks were amazing, but because (even when understaffed), the service was wonderful.

Came here for my daughter's 22nd Birthday celebration per her recommendation. The food was exceptional! The mushroom fundido, shakahuka, nori mushroom calamari & creamy mushroom pasta. The surprise hit was the cantaloupe & fennel salad! Our server Isaiah was fantastic & friendly. He gave as many wonderful suggestions for dishes (including the cantaloupe & fennel). Highly recommend even for non-vegan/vegetarians. We were extremely pleases & will be back.

Very intriguing vegan menu. Mostly small plates to mix and match. They have a wonderful drink menu...I especially recommend the Bugs Honey...

Sun Muerte had amazing food and service! The location was also great and parking was easy to find. We loved the chickpea dip and the cashew yogurt dip, as well as the cantaloupe salad. And the pita was AMAZING. Really great atmosphere and a new fave vegetarian/vegan place of mine.

Tried this restaurant and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! Great vegan spot and lots of food options, drinks are great too. Would recommend the Bugs Honey drink and the Mushroom Walnut ragu. Our favorite dish was the yogurt date hummus and fresh pita. All the food is very tasty and will fill you up but not too heavy. The only thing I would improve is our service time, the servers were very nice but our meals took a long time. Several people got their food before us and there were only two of us dining. However we will be returning because the food was that good!

Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

Amazing food and future forward cuisine as most options are vegan. Amazing mixology with a true value for your money for how expensive cocktails are nowadays: great service and the pita bread really takes the foods to another level. Something so simple as hummus becomes memorable here.

Flavorful dishes, wonderful ambience, and friendly staff! Really enjoyed our date night here The pickles were an underdog hit, and I’d skip the fries onions. We’ll be back!
