This hotel has the ability to be wonderful, but it is not up to Holiday Inns that I have stayed at. The positive is the clean and modern lobby and the staff at the lounge. It goes downhill fast from there. Leaving the elevator on the third floor the carpets and walls looks like something that would probably resemble a prison. I cant see this needing much in renovations, but they are probably 5-10 years overdue. Paint is all worn away n the hallways, carpets are all chewed up, just really an embarrassing mess. Keep the lobby and gut this place. The pictures on the website are no where near reflective of the quality of this property. For $200 a night I would definitely look elsewhere in the area

Nothing but positive experiences with the hotel and staff. Front office manager Sarah went to great lengths to help us secure a refund from booking.com for an earlier stay that had to be canceled due to a flight cancellation. She followed up with us several times after communicating directly with booking.com. Good location, near Sky Harbor airport, and wide variety of restaurants, fast food. We appreciated the extra room with sofa bed, 2nd TV, desk and mini fridge/microwave. Our group got takeout often and this was a nice place to gather for eating, rather than eating on the big beds! All the rooms open onto a nice courtyard with pool, walking path and fire tables.

The hotel tricks you in and asks $20/day for parking that they told you free. We called the front desk before we booked the room (we have evidence to prove that) and confirmed that the parking is free for 7 days if we stay at the hotel for at least 1 night either before or after our trip even if we booked from the 3rd party. However, when we checked in, we were told the parking was $20 per day. They claimed the free parking was only available for higher price package, not for booking from 3rd party vendor. However, this was not what we told when we called the front desk. They ADMITTED that we were given misinformation because their staff lack training and it was THEIR FAULT! But they insisted that we need to pay for their fault because it the room was not refundable. They also lied on the parking price. They first told us the parking price was $20/day. After we complained they gave us misinformation, he gave us a discount of $10/day. However, another staff told us parking was $10/day for guests stayed in the hotel. So, the first people tried to charge us for an even higher price for parking. Ridiculous!! When we complained at the front desk, another gentlemen was also there complaining for the exact same issue. He was also told free parking at the hotel. They even lied to their corporate’s customer service team. We filed a complain to IHG. When the team investigated the issue, the hotel told them they have talked to us and the issue was resolved. Another lie! No one ever reached out to us to discuss the issue when we stayed in the hotel and 7 days after. Then, they told IHG’s service team that they offered us another 10% discount on the parking but we refused it. One more lie! I am not sure whether the misinformation about free parking was due to untainted staff, or their staff was trained to give misinformation about free parking…

When I arrived the person at the front desk could not initially find my reservation even though I had checked in with the app. She stated that I was not in the system and that they were fully booked. I proceeded to show her my confirmation number and email, I also showed her my online banking where I had the charge pending on my account. She said well you are not in the system and looked at the other receptionist and said I'm going on break. The other lady made a call and was given instructions on how to pull it up and it was then resolved after waiting 20 mins. I went to my room which was dated but clean. The room was fairly cold and I wanted to take a shower I turned on the heat to alleviate the chill and the unit started to smoke and the smoke detector sounded. Afraid it would start a fire I turned the unit off and called the front desk because the smell of smoke was filling the room. The front desk said they would send the maintenance person shortly. The maintenance guy came and checked to make sure there was no fire but advised that I should not use the heat until they were able to have it checked in the morning, and since the hotel was fully booked there was nothing he could do at the time. I was disappointed, I had only gotten the room because my flight came in late and I was too tired to safely drive home, I slept in a smoky cold dingy room all night and despite my documented experience I did not receive one courtesy call or email apology not one opportunity to turn this experience around was ever made. SMH I will stay with Hilton from here on out.

Hotel itself was clean and quiet. Upon checking in the desk person did tell us the location of breakfast area but did not inform us that we needed vouchers for breakfast (our room rate did include breakfast). They wanted to charge us almost $13 per person for the breakfast buffet. This did get resolved by me going to the front desk and clarifying the situation. The buffet was very poorly maintained- one egg on English muffins, one piece of bacon-small amour of scrambled egg-an almost empty amount of potatoes-definitely not worth paying almost $14. Overall a good place to stay. Shuttle for airport was 15 minutes late.

So on March 24, 2022 I stay at this hotel while on my road trip to Phoenix. I was charged $250 which is not even worth that price and the room was filthy, AC system was broken, The lobby looked nice, so I expected an decent looking room, but as soon as I went up there, the room smelled horrible, scratches on the drawers, bed was all wrinkly, and I had an really horrible stay. The room is worth like $70 if I'm going to give an unbiased opinion to the new people looking to stay here. I was absolutely disappointed with the staff too. I was asking if I could get a refund and the cancellation for this room but the front desk refused and they were just wasting my time giving me worthless lectures. It was not worth arguing with the staff there so I left which is why I'm leaving this review as soon as I got back. Dont waste your time, breathe, and money staying here because they won't help you if it doesn't benefit them. I will put this in simple terms, don't stay here.

I stayed at this hotel last minute while on a road trip. The price was relatively high ($240+) compared to other hotels in the same area. The lobby appeared to be clean and up to date. The room itself was gross. The carpets were filthy, lamp shades had stains on them as well as the desk chair and dresser. The AC unit was broken and pieces were just left lying around. Bathroom was “clean” but the walls and floors had stains. Had we arrived early, or been staying for an extended time, I would have complained for a new room or cancelled (both of which I’ve never done anywhere). This room definitely was not worth the price they charged. However since we arrived at midnight we basically went straight to bed and left as soon as we woke up. The bed sheets appeared clean and mattress seemed comfortable. Parking was free which is always nice. Breakfast I believe was around $13…we didn’t try.

The carpet, phone, and walls in this hotel are filthy. The paint in the bathroom is flaking, mold in the shower. The traffic noise is horrible. Do NOT stay here, but if you must, do not stay in a room facing the highway.

Service was poor and not accommodating. Our room was never once cleaned during our stay. They never replenished towels and washcloths so I had to keep calling for that. The shower was dirty and sink faucet was falling apart. The sofa with ottoman was busted and mini fridge was not clean with soda spills. Definitely don’t understand why this hotel has more than a star. It’s a 1 star experience for me.

I ordered the buffalo wings appetizer with the Coca-Cola BBQ sauce on the side. As you can see in the photo, it was nicely presented, but I was expecting more than 8 wings for US$11! The booths all have flat screen TVs, so you can watch your favourite shows while eating. Just like home. The waitress, Diana B., did refill my water and check on how I was enjoying the food. So full marks for her. Food was served quickly and hot and tasted good. Would have liked a refill of my Coke.
