The sweet chile calamari was good and the ambience of the restaurant is nice with a pleasant patio area. Unfortunately this is not somewhere we would go again. The ramen broths for both the Mic Drop and the Katsu were lacking flavor. The lime in the carnitas and the addition of kimchi for the Mic Drop felt out of place, and the Katsu was overall unappetizing.

Recommended here by a friend and also saw so much hype on tiktok!!! And yes I'd recommend you to come here as well. The food is SO GOOD! It's also nice for a cute date night. I will say, it can be difficult finding parking because it is located in downtown but it'll be worth your steps!

We felt something odd about the taste and left half of what we ordered. We both got food poisoning after we ate here.
We had homecooked meals the entire day before having dinner here and got stomach infection the morning after so it has be likely this place.

Horrible food, full of sugar and salt!! Udon noodles were slimy and broth seemed like it was diluted sweet and sour sauce. Made me nauseous as I was eating it. Don't go there, save your health and money...

I’ve been a loyal customer of SoSoBa Phoenix and have always appreciated their creative menu and vibrant vibe. As a business owner myself, I know the value of word-of-mouth, and I’ve recommended this spot to countless people over the years.

A recent experience really changed my perspective. After dining in and signing off on a total that included my intended tip, I later noticed my card was charged $0.75 more than I authorized. I asked for verification and was told the charge was accurate, yet no effort was made to review the merchant copy I had signed despite multiple requests.

It was never about the money. It was about honesty and accountability. Since that experience, I’ve started photographing receipts at other restaurants. At one, a completely separate issue occurred where a $10 tip was mistakenly entered as $20. That restaurant handled the situation immediately and professionally, with zero friction and clear accountability.

It’s disappointing when a place you’ve championed no longer feels like it champions you. Sadly, I won’t be returning to SoSoBa, and I won’t be recommending it moving forward. Good food should always be matched by good character.

For some reason, they can’t hear you when you call on the phone and hang up on you. Maybe you could answer my question here on this review.

Delicious ramen and appetizers. Purchased the Tantanmen and Mic Drop, savory broth with thick flavorful noodles. The service was friendly and proficient. Great experience, will absolutely eat here again!

We're on a mission to find the best of everything in the valley, and that certainly includes ramen.

This spot was recommended by a lyft passenger, and it did not disappoint.
The bao buns were soft and delectable, the soup was rich and flavorful.

We tried the katsu with udon and ramen with steak. It turns out I'm not personally a fan of katsu in a soup, but I do recommend both noodles highly.

For our friends, the menu contains vegetarian and vegan options of both apps and entrees.

There's a limited beer and wine menu, as well as a fairly extensive imported liquor menu, which is sure to bring us back again; it definitely has potential for future dates. We enjoyed the atmosphere, which was intimate and welcoming.

I love this place. The udon is the best in the valley and they have the same staff for the time I have been going there. The staff always has great energy and it never changes. Have not tried whole menu but they don’t have anything I would not order again. I highly recommend if you’re looking for great ramen and a great atmosphere for a casual date night.
