I went to the one on Bell Rd & 40th St on a Wednesday night. Our waiter/host Patrick was wonderful and so accommodating. I was undecided between the green borscht and the traditional and he gave me a sample of both, and I went with the green which was absolutely delicious. I wanted to the vegetarian cabbage rolls and they were out and had the chicken schnitzel and vegetables. The plates are big and so this is lots to take home. Everything is made from scratch except the sausage. Do not leave with trying or taking home a piece of the honey cake!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OUTSTANDING! A Hidden Gem in North Phoenix!

Soup and Sausage Bistro is a must-visit! Tucked away at 40th Street and Bell Road, this charming spot is a culinary treasure you do *not* want to miss. We were absolutely blown away by the experience from start to finish!

First, let’s talk ambiance and cleanliness—this place shines, literally! Every corner of the restaurant is spotless, and you can truly feel the care that goes into maintaining the space. It sets the tone for a warm, welcoming dining experience.

But the real star here is the FOOD! Everything is made with whole ingredients and zero preservatives, so you know you’re getting top-notch quality in every bite. I believe you can taste the love and the passion in their cooking really shine through.

We decided on a Homemade Chicken Soup & Sausage in Dough Combo and it was nothing short of spectacular. The flavors were rich and comforting—just what you want from a homemade soup and perfectly crafted sausage they offer a nice selection of horseradish based sauces and mustards. We also tried the Solyanka with the Potato & Onion Stuffed Bun, both of which were absolutely delightful. But Patryck, our fantastic server, suggested we also try one of their Hot Sandwiches on a slice of the most delicious homemade bread, and wow—it did not disappoint! That bread alone is a reason to come back, and the sandwich was a perfect complement to the meal.

Speaking of Patryck—he truly made our visit exceptional! His fun accent, great suggestions, interesting stories, and attentive service really elevated the whole experience. You could tell he genuinely cares about making sure each guest has an unforgettable time.

For dessert, we had the Honey Cake, and let me just say: moist, tender, and pure perfection. This dessert was the perfect way to end our meal.

Vegetarians will also be pleased with the variety of options available—there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.

If you’re in the North Phoenix area, do yourself a favor and stop by Soup and Sausage Bistro. Some of the best food around, hands down. We’ll definitely be back soon! Highly, *highly* recommend!

Very mediocre. I got the impression from the flavors that much of what they served was "store bought". I can tell you they definitely don't make their own applesauce as evident by the containers they came in.

I also noticed Folgers containers in the back so maybe don't order coffee here.

We ordered various different perogis and they were quite flavorless and the bacon ones perhaps had one small piece in each.

The potato pancake also was quite flavorless and the sausages were just ok.

If you want true authentic perogies, go down to Mesa, AZ to a place called All Perogi. Quite the Polish gem.

Food was great. It did take awhile to receive but was worth the wait. The bathroom might need a fan, was a little funky smelling.

I loved the food so much I may have to write about it in my blog! The hunters stew and the honey cake need to become a staple in my home. I'm so glad you have a second location much closer to me. Your food, your establishment. Everything is wonderful.

We’ve been coming here at least once a week if not more since we first tried it a couple weeks ago. Everything we’ve had has been amazing. Soups, cabbage rolls, hunter stew, even the burger. You can tell it’s made fresh and the prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. Try this place!

Food was excellent. The borscht is second to none. Smoked sausage was delicious and juicy and grilled to perfection. Tried the perogies they were good as well as the hunter's stew. Staff was charming and delightful. Nice group of folks. If I had to complain about the place it would be that the music kept skipping and turning on and off during the meals. But this was minor and we will be visiting often.
