The food was delicious. Seasoned well and meat was to the bone delicious. I had catfish, green beans and potatoes, cabbage and cornbread. My mom had the BBQ rib tips and my little girl had the fried chicken with Cole slaw and Mac and cheese. I do recommend. Now if you are used to bland food, this place isn’t for you.
This is the ONLY authentic southern soul food in Phoenix that I have seen, because the midwest soul food that we mostly have in Phx is just not the same as Mississippi/Texas/Louisiana/ATL/FL food from the south, but this place is for real, the real deal!
Idk what everyone else is talking about but the food here is actually good. BBQ sucks in AZ & so do a lot of the ppl so I feel like most of the negative reviews like from the Timothy’s are of the latter. Out of all the BBQ places out here, the greens are actually good and the portions are fine. Since when isn’t seasoned food salty? I’m sensitive to salt & I thought it was fine.
