We called in our order over the telephone today and they charge $2.00 extra for calling in the order. Pay attention to your bill because they will not advise you of the $2.00 fee for calling in your order over the telephone. When we brought it to their attention they took it off the bill. If you walk in to place a take out order they will not charge you the $2.00.

I've been coming here for 10 years and the price and time increase just keep happening. One of the best Indian places in southern Phoenix but can't figure out the kitchen timing and constantly increase price. A 30-40min take out order always takes +1hr
2 people meal $90...they have to figure this out and not just rely on a water, wine, desert compensation for inability to manage kitchen

Absolutely amazing food great service the staff are all so sweet and welcoming butter chicken, tikki masala and the samosas omg amazing!!!!! And we had a beer I forgot what it was called but it was very good one of the best beers i have had in a while. Just went last night we will be back for dinner Tonight thank you!

My family used to really like this restaurant, but on Friday, Nov 1st, we had take out and it was really bad. The chef must have been on vacation and no one was trained to cook. We had to throw out the paneer masala because it tasted like Kraft macaroni and cheese sauce had been used. The chicken pakora was totally different and heavy breaded, not like any of the other times we've eaten there. It was as if the restaurant was left in the hands of a teenager who hadn't ever cooked Indian food before. The "curry" was gelatinous. I can honestly say beware and don't do take out on Fridays. It was so bad we will not be visiting again for a long time, and this is really disappointing to us because we live nearby and want this place to do better.

Excellent food and service. I have been looking for a good Indian restaurant not far from me and found it! Waiter was attentive to special dietary concerns and helpful with levels of heat in spices. I'm mostly a mild food person. A level 2 on a scale of 1-5 was perfect. A little kick and very savory. Definitely going back.
Vegetarian options: Good place for gluten free and vegan diets.
This is my favorite local Indian Food restaurant, and I've tried them all. We often get delivery from another place because Star of India is unfortunately not yet available on Uber Eats etc. Also, their takeout service is poor (never ready when they say it will be, e.g., last time called @ 4:45p told would be ready@ 5:50, but not ready until 6:15). But when we want the best Indian Food and don't mind the inconvenience, we get takeout here and it is great! Keep hoping they will add delivery and improve their takeout game.
