Sidewalk seating is nice, service is sub-par
So how are people supposed to know in advance that a Starbucks does or does not redeem points or rewards? This location doesn’t, even though It came up when I googled “Starbucks that redeem rewards.” Found this out after 10 minutes in line, and then an additional 5 minutes explaining to a barista how to make a steamer. And it was really surprising because it’s a large café in downtown Phoenix and it’s not at an airport or in a grocery store or someplace where I would expect that. Not a happy birthday. I rarely go to Starbucks anymore and now I will really avoid them. Rewards program is BS.

I went to the Starbucks in front of my university because it looked stylish, but the interior was stylish, but the staff's attitude was really bad😭
Even though I was ordering according to the menu, they didn't listen to me at all, so it became a hassle, so I ordered a vanilla Frappuccino. lol
It was difficult to hear what the clerk was saying, as he spoke in a very low voice, so I replied randomly and was served with a large serving of whipped cream! !
I was actually planning to relax at Starbucks, but I couldn't use Wi-Fi and the Frappuccino was too sweet, so I went back to the hotel.

They don't know how to make cinnamon dolce Latte
Clean and nice looking store. Staffwaant very friendly. I said good morning and they just looked at me like i waa from outer space.

Staff is very confused and everyone’s first day? Two older lady managers re-stocking bagels in the front of the store when there’s about 30 ppl in line and one person making coffees. I’ve never experienced such a slow Starbucks and they don’t care you’re waiting.. finally when I was waiting for my order they said they had no coffee…
Each time I have gone here the customer service is quite poor. Just because majority of customers are students does not mean we do not deserve quality service. My drink was made incorrectly twice and ended up just having to leave to get to class on time with the wrong drink I did not pay for. Their service and timing needs to seriously be addressed as many students and faculty have places to be after getting their order. I am appalled at the service here. Of course they will not care about this review or their poor service because they are one of the only Starbucks on ASU Downtown Campus and clearly do not care about customer service over all.

Avoid. Went here with my daughters before seeing a play downtown. Barista didn't say hello and would not take my daughters drink order. Literally just stared at me. Ordered 3 drinks and the total was $24. I said there's no way that is correct. Had to get another employee to fix the issue (overcharged by $7) but it took about 15 minutes.

I am appalled at what I saw this morning at 8:30 while waiting for my drink. A customer approached the barista with a half drank refresher and said “can you add more açaí this tastes wrong” the barista then proceeded to take the HALF DRANK drink from the customer put it in the shaker add more juice then use that shaker for the next customers. The lack of food safety is extremely concerning. I won’t even mention that there was no one making the food orders and so everyone in line had to manually ask for their food to be made after waiting. The concern here is the safety, I could not even drink my coffee after watching that, had to throw it away.

I went here two days in a row and had two different cashiers. Both didn’t know how to work the register. Both times it took between 10 to 15 minutes to take sample order of coffee and an egg sandwich. After confirming the same order multiple times they still got it wrong, in multiple ways, on both days. No offense to the employees there, but they didn’t look like they were mentally competent. I do like that they seem to hire people who are mentally slow, but they do need to have a manager on staff to fix simple errors that they make. The second day I threw a full coffee out because it was not what I ordered in the slightest and crazy, sweet. Waste of money.

Kind and quick service, very clean and great location. I am not a frequent coffee drinker but the staff helped me with selecting a beverage for me and I really enjoyed it.
