Recently grabbed some lunch with some work colleagues. Had to move tables as a bird pooped on our table from the rafters while sitting on the patio. Food took over an hour from order time and drinks took over 15 minutes by themselves. The steak salad that I got was overcooked and overpriced. Would not recommend.

Indulge in a unique dining experience at State 48 Rock House, an expansive restaurant in the heart of Phoenix. With both open-air and indoor seating, this casual eatery caters to various dining preferences.

Their signature dish, the Monstrosity, is a culinary adventure. Picture this: two grilled cheese sandwiches enveloping two half-pound patties, creating a towering burger that’s a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. Alternatively, split the grilled cheese and patties to create two equally delicious cheeseburgers.

While the food is decent, it’s the friendly service that truly sets State 48 apart. Your server will ensure your drinks stay full, and you won’t go thirsty. Just be prepared for the occasional unexpected request for donations from non restaurant customers, due to the open air seating.

For dessert, try their deep-fried Oreos with peanut butter. They’re a sweet treat that would pair perfectly with a scoop of ice cream.

Overall, State 48 Rock House offers a casual and enjoyable dining experience with generous portions at affordable prices. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit.

We waited forever for service and then waited way too long to get our food. It wasn't even busy. There are birds flying around. My Friend got shit on by a bird when we were sitting outside. We moved inside. It was cold inside with the doors open. I would not recommend this place and will not be back.

For a chain brewery didnt expect too much. Food was average as were beers.

Most disappointing was horrible service.

Was seated and waited about 10 minutes while a bunch of servers ignored me. Wasnt til I got up to order directly from bar when a server said even though it wasnt his section he would serve me.

When time came for bill server nowhere to be found had to go to bar for bill.

This occurred on a Thursday night at 8 pm and place was only 20 percent full.

State 48 provides great service with friendly staff who are all smiles. Gabbi is a gem and serves you with a smile and a sense of humor. I am a repeat customer and will definitely be back!

I came here a few weeks back when Deadpool 3 opened and just remembered to leave a review. The AC was out and it was awful inside. It was hot outside but nicer than inside. They didn’t say anything about it, instead just tried to avoid it until we started saying something. Their service was subpar and the server recommended the Buffalo chicken sandwich as “one of her favorites”. That sandwich was pure trash. It was the worst I’ve ever had to be honest. I’ll never go here again. They need to hire or consult with a known chef to revamp the menu and maybe save this place. I doubt it has long to survive.

My friend and I went there to catch up. Because the seats inside were loud, so we opted for the patio. There was a light layer of gritty dust on everything. I got the feeling they hadn't wiped down the outside tables in awhile. My friend ordered the cheeseburger and because she is on a diet, only asked that the burger had mustard, lettuce, and tomato. When the cheeseburger arrived, it was drowning in mustard. She had to scrape most of it off, get a separate plate, and ask for a new piece of lettuce that wasn't coated in mustard. The waitress apologized - we knew it was not her fault. I ordered the beet salad. The greens were too large and the beet pieces were very tiny - it was difficult to get beets and greens in the same bite. I would highly recommend that the beet pieces be cut larger and the greens maybe chopped a bit to allow for the beets and greens to be in the same bite.

This place must have frozen burger patties, those sandwiches are rough. Fries are gross

Waitress was too busy cleaning to notice that we were ready to order.

Music was too loud, couldn’t hear the person across the table from me

We weren't asked if we wanted any food. (Do they even serve food?) The area for the beers near the bat was dirty and gross. I could see what looked like mold. Server was highly unnattenative.
