That was some of the best sushi I’ve had. Had the Raijin and Mt Fuji. Both great rolls

1st time getting takeout from this place and so disappointed when we got home upon opening the box all family immediately noticed this sushi was not fresh, didn't taste fresh, and the edamame looked overcooked, old like was yesterday's food. Truly upsetting 😡 and wasted my money. Go at your own risk..sad sad sad. BE CAUTION

Sushi nakano in Ahwatukee is very small first off, which very much gives it a hole in the wall kind of vibe. I know that's not something that everybody enjoys, but it makes me think of it's that dive bar with the absolute best food in town. We went at 7:45 on a Tuesday night and while there was one available table, I imagined it would be difficult to get some seating at a more popular dining time.

This was our second time going, with the first being 6 years ago. I remember enjoying the food last time, we sat at the bar and the chef was preparing some kind of giant fish head right in front of us. I actually didn't mind that at all I thought it was kind of cool, but my husband really did not enjoy that experience at all. So we ended up not going back. By chance we happen to go back last night, and omg we're so glad we did. We opted to set it a table for obvious reasons. But just like last time we were there the food was absolutely amazing. We've gone to at least six sushi restaurants in town and in other cities probably another 10, and that was the best gyoza we've ever had. My husband who usually does not finish a Las Vegas roll ate the whole thing, which was absolutely huge, and also said it was the best roll he's ever had. My salmon nagiri was delicious with thick cuts of salmon. Absolute five star food, so good, can't wait to go back!

One of my favorite sushi spots, does not take reservations on weekends but if you go on weekdays there’s usually not a wait. This place is so underrated. The house made chili oil is so good they need to bottle it up and sell it! Their eggplant nigiri is vegetarian sushi I can get behind

So I normally go to another place here in Awatukee for sushi, which is very good decided to try someplace new and this place blew it away. The artistic presentation of the sushi the Customer Service, the smiling faces that very intimate ambience. Both my daughter and I loved it. Will definitely be coming back here versus the other place.

A small family owned hole in the wall gem of a sushi restaurant. I have been to many sushi places around the States and I will say this place is spot on when it comes to their sushi rolls. What's unique about this place is their daily - or weekly - specials (i.e. specialized sushi rolls that have limited ingredients or unique vs. the regular menu) constantly change and it is a first come, first serve basis until they run out. I've never seen that before and think that makes them truly standout.

In terms of their sushi rolls, the quality, the selections, and taste was top-notch. They had a good selection of appetizers, which was also amazing, a good selection of sushi, Japanese craft beers, and Japanese sake for those that like to drink.

I highly recommend checking this place out and recommend arriving a couple minutes early as the seating is very limited (25+/- seats). They do not take online reservations and when you arrive and the seats are all full, you will need to put your reservation on their sign up board inside.

I'm visiting from Kansas and by far the best sushi that I have ever had. Incredible experience overall. I was able to try many different dishes and all of them were very well put together and delicious.

Popped in here by chance - delicious sushi, friendly staff, modern and yet welcoming interior! I was greeted warmly and when I asked, was recommended several types of nigiri! The fish was fresh and the ingredients full of flavor, and I loved the unique flavor combinations the owner has come up with! I came toward the end of lunch, and was the only one there.
